2 Scholarship Value The is pleased to offer one New Zealand Scholarship for 2016 entry. The value of the scholarship is A$25,000 to be paid in the following manner:- Year 1 A$6,250 Year 3 A$6,250 Year 2 A$6,250 Year 4 A$6,250 Eligibility Requirements Open to New Zealand citizens or residents. Will complete in 2015 or have recently completed Year 13 or equivalent international schooling. Maximum age 22 at time of application. Open only to new students seeking entry into Year 1. For students whose mother tongue is other than English, refer to the ICHM website for IELTS or TOEFL requirements. Step 1: How to Apply Your completed application must contain: Scholarship application form. This form is in two parts. - Cover page found here, please provide your personal contact details. - Your response to the four short answer questions. Note that there are no right or wrong answers. We simply want to find out more about you and your career aspirations. Brief Resume (not more than two pages in length). A Reference Letter (from either a school teacher, career/university counsellor or employer). Copies of your school reports for Year 12 and 13 (to date). ICHM application form (unless an application to attend ICHM has already been forwarded). The Application form can be found in the ICHM Prospectus, or on the ICHM website. Make sure you make copies of your school reports and Reference Letter for both the ICHM Application Form, and also for Scholarship Application. Scholarship Application Fee of A$50. Payment can be made by credit card or cheque. Cheques in A$ made payable to ICHM Business Management Account. All cheques are banked and credit card payments processed upon receipt. Note: Do not staple or bind applications. Do not send original transcripts as they will not be returned. 2

Step 3: Selection Process Assessment Criteria For Short Listing of Applicants School Report 35% CV and References 35% Short Answer Questions 30% For Finalists Panel Interview 70% Short Listing Criteria 30% Up to 4 New Zealand finalists will be invited to an interview in Auckland and an economy airfare provided to a maximum cost of NZ$500 per applicant. The balance to be paid by the applicant. ICHM is offering a number of scholarships in Australia. Applicants for the New Zealand Scholarship will only be considered for this scholarship if they obtain a 'shortlist' score equal to, or better than the tenth best applicant for the Australian Scholarship. Finalists for interviews should be advised by the first week of November Where possible, interviews will be conducted during late November/early December 2015 and winners advised immediately thereafter. Winners will be selected by a panel considering the assessment criteria above and the person/s most likely to excel at Hotel Management. CONDITIONS OF ENTRY Students who meet the scholarship eligibility criteria and ICHM entry requirements can apply for a scholarship. Students who have already applied and been accepted by ICHM for these intakes may also apply by completing the Scholarship Application form. ICHM has two intakes in We reserve the right to request winners to commence in the July 2016 intake, unless the applicant has been accepted into the January intake by scholarship closing date. It is a condition of these scholarships that recipients commence in either the January 2016 or July 2016 intakes. Should a recipient wish to defer to a later intake, they will forfeit the scholarship or bursary amount. These scholarships can be applied to the ICHM tuition fees or, on-campus accommodation fees (subject to availability). The A$50 Scholarship Application Fee is non-refundable, this applies to successful and unsuccessful applicants. It is also not considered as part of the New Student Fee or Course Fees. The scholarship amount will be credited against the final fee payment each year. ICHM is offering a number of scholarships in Australia. Applicants for the New Zealand Scholarship will only be considered for this scholarship if they obtain a 'shortlist' score equal to or better than the tenth best applicant for the Australian Scholarships. The Selection Panel may decide to increase the number of scholarship winners by reducing the scholarship amount. Payment of the scholarship amount on behalf of the student for the 2nd, 3rd and 4th years of the course will be dependent upon satisfactory academic results and industry placement performance as determined by the ICHM Academic Board. The awarding of the scholarship payment each year depends on the student paying the balance of the student fees by the due date as set out in the Application Form contained in the prospectus. Students failing to pay the balance of fees by the due date will forfeit the right to their scholarship. The Scholarships are open to new first year students only. Students currently studying at ICHM are ineligible. Scholarship students failing to comply with the ICHM rules and regulations in relation to personal and ethical behaviour will forfeit their entitlement to the scholarship. 3
