You may test at CSU Stanislaus for all CSU campuses ELM/EPT: Placement Tests must be taken no later than May 6, 2017, some campuses have earlier deadlines, check with your preferred campus! Early Start Based on EPT/ELM results some students may be required to participate in Early Start. Students will receive notification of their Early Start requirement after they take the ELM/EPT. Do all your steps to apply on one day at MJC. At the workshop you can complete your application, assessment, orientation and advising. In order to register for any classes once you graduate, you must have the steps completed. It is best if you complete the application before you go! Free lunch and campus tours, parents welcome!! MJC application for Fall Term: If you applied for Spring 2017, you must reapply as a graduated student to attend for Summer/Fall When you apply as a graduated student use April 29th as your graduation date on the MJC application, this is for MJC use only! There could be urgent messages for you to supply transcripts, financial aid documents, etc. if you miss important deadlines, your applications could be dropped! 3 Repeated Scholarships California Wine Grape Growers Foundation-For high school seniors whose parents are vineyard employees. You can be attending either a community college or CSU/UC. Two $4000 scholarships and four $1000 scholarships are available. Go to to apply. Deadline to apply is March 24, 2017, North Modesto Kiwanis Scholarship 15 $1000 scholarships will be awarded to seniors who have a 2.75, plan to attend a 2 year or 4 year college in California. Preference is given to students whose annual family income is $75,000-$150,000. See Mrs. Pitts for an application. Deadline to apply is March 17, The California Association of Collectors, Inc.-First place will receive $2500, second place will receive $2000, and third place will receive $1500. It s a simple one page application and a word essay on the Importance of Establishing and Maintaining Good Credit during Your College Years. Must have a 2.8 or higher GPA. Go to to apply. March 31, 2017 CAA/ESA Youth Scholarship For children of law enforcement and fire service personnel. $25,000 in awards given. Go to March 24, 2017 CANERS Foundation Scholarship: For those interested in horticulture, or agribusiness. Good if you participated in FFA, but not mandatory. Go to for application. March 15, 2017 The Women s Auxiliary 2.5 GPA, for students of African American descent. $200-$1500. Applications in the D wing. 4 Repeated Scholarships John L Hollis Christian Public Servants Scholarship- $750 scholarship for a senior intending for a career in public service (i.e. teaching, law enforcement, fire safety, nursing, public administration, political science, etc.). Must have a 3.0 GPA, participation in church or Christian ministries, plus community service. Application in D wing March 15, 2017 N. CA Cherry Blossom Festival: 2- $2000. Must have 3.0 GPA, Applications in the D wing. March 31, 2017 NDTA National Defense Transportation Scholarship: Several different scholarships for seniors who will attend a 2 year or 4 year college. Many majors fall under this scholarship, be sure to check it out. Application in D wing. March 11, 2017 Cabrillo Clubs of California $500. Must be of Portuguese descent, 3.5 gpa. Applicatiions in the D wing March 15, 2017 Masonic Lodge Scholarship: 2.5 GPA, extra curriculars, financial need, essay, etc, Your or a relative must be a member of Masonic lodge or Eastern Star or Masonic Youth. March 18., 2017 Sylvan Educators Association: For seniors who attended a Sylvan district school for at least 3 years or for those students who are dependents of Sylvan District Education Association Members. April 4, 2017 Mid Valley Cowbelles For a student who plans a career in agriculture or has a major that reflects agriculture. 2 year or 4 year college. April 1, 2017 Stanislaus County Young Farmers and Ranchers Scholarship Up to $3000 awarded for those who will major in agriculture. 3.0 GPA, community service, etc. 2 or 4 year college. Must show academic qualities compatible with chosen health program. OxyGEN Scholarship For students whose families are employees of AT&T, designed to encourage students interested in STEM careers. You do not have to be a STEM major to apply. Must enroll in a 2 or 4 year college and be US citizen or permanent resident. go to: San Joaquin-Stanislaus Cattle Women For students studying agriculture. 3.0 GPA, applications in D wing April 1. Al Barr Graphic Arts Scholarship Up to $3,000 in scholarships will be awarded. Must complete application and submit two samples of original artwork. Due April 14 Blue Diamond Growers Foundation Scholarship is open to students pursuing a fouryear degree in plant sciences, agricultural engineering, agricultural economics or subjects with relevance to almond production. 6 New Scholarships! Anthony Brucia Success Award 5-$1,000 awards. For students who have made a big comeback in grades and have overcome adversity. 2/ March 31st. Frank Vandervort Memorial Scholarship $1,000. Must be child of individual who is an active member of Modesto Teachers Association AND has served as a site representative or committee member for at least two years. Must be received at MTA office by April 3rd. See Mrs. Pitts for application. CSEA Retiree Council 5010 Blanche Bispo Scholarship $150. Applicant must be related to a Retiree Unit member of the CSEA Modesto Council Applications in D wing. March 31st Dr. Parker Scholarship 4-$250 scholarships. Students who have completed at least 100 hours of verifiable community service will be given priority consideration. African American students will be given priority consideration. Must have 2.0 GPA, attend 2 or 4 year college or vocational school. Applications in D wing. Must be received by April 1st. Kaiser Permanente Asian Association Scholarship 7-$3500 scholarships. You do not have to be Asian to apply. For students who have demonstrated leadership in school and community activities and brought benefit to their communities. April 5th
