2 Medico-Legal Background: Since July 2000 I have worked as a Specialist Practitioner supplying independent Medico-legal opinion as a GP expert in both Personal Injury and Clinical Negligence cases. I have been a member of the Expert Witness Institute since 2005 and in 2011 attained the Bond Solon Certificate in Civil Procedure Rules for Expert Witnesses. I have extensive experience working with Solicitors and Insurers, providing medico-legal opinion as a Specialist Practitioner in all aspects of GP related medico-legal work. I provide independent opinion in a significant number of GP Clinical Negligence cases annually with cases split equally between referrals from Claimant Solicitors and The Medical Defence Union. I also provide expert opinion to the General Medical Council in GP Fitness to Practice cases. I lecture regularly for The Expert Witness Institute on medico-legal matters.
