1 THE RANCH SUMMER CAMPS 2018 Counselor-In-Training Program FIRST-YEAR ANGEL ISLAND CIT If you are interested in working as a Counselor-In-Training (CIT) with The Ranch summer camp programs, please review the qualifications on this page, complete the attached application and return it to: The Ranch Summer Camps 600 Ned s Way Tiburon, CA Attention: CIT Director Bruce Miller Please submit applications prior to May 11 th, While all applicants will be accepted, there is a limit on the number of CITs we can accept each week, therefore, completed applications will be processed on a first-come, first-served basis. The earlier you get your application, in the better. CHOOSE YOUR CAMP First-Year CITs can request to participate in 1 of 4 camp sessions: Session 1: Jun Session 2: Jul 2-13 (No Camp on July 4) Session 3: Jul Session 4: Jul 30 Aug 10 PROGRAM FEE The fee for first year CITs is $380 for 2 consecutive weeks and includes: Training Supervision/Mentoring 1-on-1 Evaluations 2 T-shirts Lunch on Fridays Ferry Tickets ASSIGNMENTS First-Year CITs must commit to a minimum of two consecutive weeks. CITs must request specific session.

2 INTERESTED IN RETURNING FOR EXTRA WEEKS? If, after you have completed the 2 weeks of the CIT program, and you would like to return to camp for additional weeks, you may attend camp with approval from the CIT Director and AI Camp Director (you will be charged an additional $50 per week). Review the following before applying to be a Counselor-In-Training: All First-Year Angel Island CIT applicants will go through training the first week of the camp session they are attending. All of the training will be held on Angel Island in order to stay close with the camp and to learn Camps are structured with the campers happiness and, most importantly, their safety in mind. To ensure the camp s quality, we ask that only those who are genuinely interested in working with children, and are able to fulfill the commitment as outlined, apply to be a CIT. The CIT assignment can be discontinued at any time if it is in the best interest of the program/campers to do so. CITs are expected to arrive and depart according to their assigned schedule and complete assignments. Qualifying applicants will have. Completed at least the 7 th grade or higher by the start of 2018 camp season. Be able to attend camp each day of the assigned weeks Mon-Fri from 8:30am-4:30pm.
