Orpic s social investment projects encompassed a multitude of social institutions and sectors including educational institutions, sports and recreation, health care, environment, research, road safety and sustainability. We believe in the potential of the younger generation, hence a major share of our social responsibility projects has gone to educational institutions including schools and universities. We concentrated more on providing basic amenities such as playgrounds, stadium, recreational facilities, whereas with regard to colleges we focused more on research projects. Donations towards development and maintenance of community parks, educational and sports facilities, organization of medical camps and blood donation drives were also well received by the community. Our Values About Orpic Oman Oil Refineries and Petroleum Industries Company SAOC (Orpic) is one of Oman s largest companies and one of the most rapidly growing businesses in the Middle East oil industry. Orpic s Refineries in Sohar and Muscat, as well as the Aromatics and Polypropylene Plants in Sohar, provide fuel, chemicals, plastics, and other petroleum products, to Oman and the world. To continue to meet the needs of Oman, and international markets, Orpic is undertaking three strategic growth projects known as [Muscat Sohar Product Pipeline (MSPP), Sohar Refinery Improvement Project (SRIP) and Liwa Plastics Industries Complex (LPIC)], in line with the company s strategy to add value to the Oil and Gas resources of Oman. 1 Glimpse on Social Initiatives and Investments Glimpse on Social Initiatives and Investments 2

5 Sohar Refinery Improvement Project (SRIP) Strategic Growth Projects Development plans are underway to include major projects with an expected value of USD 9.5 billion. Through these projects the company aims to improve environmental performance and extract greater value for its business. The Sohar Refinery Improvement Project (SRIP) is a multibillion dollar capital investment for Orpic. The project is in response to the need to upgrade refining capability in order to further maximize the value of Omani crude oil. At the same time it will significantly improve environmental performance on the back of the recent progress made by Orpic s Environmental Improvement Program (EIP). The Environmental Permits for SRIP were issued in July 2013, and in terms of citing the project, land agreements SRIP Orpic s fuels production will increase by 70%. From the fuels perspective this increase will answer the continuing growth of fuel consumption in the country, which has grown by 10% annually over the past 5 years. At the same time, the feedstock need for Aromatics and Polypropylene Plants will be met, and with the increased supply of naphtha, Orpic will be able to reduce naphtha purchases from 75% of its total requirement down to 25%. The product range will be expanded, with Orpic producing bitumen for the first time, primarily used to manufacture asphalt, and in increasing demand in the Sultanate for infrastructural projects. Aside from the immediate commercial benefits that SRIP brings to the business, it will have an impact in other areas as well. 300 direct, permanent jobs will be created by SRIP, as well as around 2,400 Omani contract roles over the project lifetime. In the region of 900 indirect jobs will be generated by the multiplier effect SRIP will have on the local economy. In-Country value is an integral part of SRIP and substantial local business participation has been written into the project. Muscat Sohar Pipeline Project (MSPP) The Muscat Sohar Pipeline Project (MSPP) will connect our Mina Al Fahal and Sohar Refineries by means of a 280 kms bi-directional, multi-purpose pipeline to an intermediate distribution and storage facility at Al Jifnain, as well as a new storage facility at Muscat International Airport, which will receive aviation fuel directly from the pipeline. The project is due to be commissioned in The first of its kind to be constructed in Oman, it will remove the need for Orpic to ship and truck refined products. Not only will it bring a new level of efficiency and lower costs to its business, it will reduce the number of fuel-tank truck journeys in and around Muscat. Heavy fuel-tank truck traffic in Muscat is expected to drop by 70%. MSPP will help ensure the safe, continuous and environmentally friendly supply of a range of fuels to meet rapidly growing local demand. Liwa Plastics Industries Complex (LPIC) Liwa Plastics Industries Complex is a transformational project that will improve Orpic s product mix and business model, double its profit and support the development of a downstream plastics industry in Oman. Taking advantage of the growing global market for plastics, it will create new business opportunities and employment in Oman, and firmly reinforce Orpic as a significant player in the international petrochemicals marketplace. In terms of numbers, the construction phase of LPIC will require up to 7,000 Full Time Equivalents (FTEs). Once the project has been completed in 2020, it is anticipated that 350 operators will be required to manage the facilities, as well as 150 technicians. The indirect employment effect is expected to create more than 1,2000 jobs. 6 Environmental Improvement Project Our Commitment towards Clean and Sustainable Environment

7 Environmental Improvement Project: Stemming from our values of putting safety and the environment first, Orpic places utmost priority on its people, plants, environment and local communities. We work together to ensure that we create and maintain safe working environments, with a clear target of zero harm. We recognize our responsibility towards the environment and hence measure, manage and minimize the environmental impact of our operations. Environmental Quality Control Center The Company has recently established an Environmental Quality Control Center which demonstrates all information and indicators related to environmental monitoring devices including air monitoring units and flame emissions monitoring devices which can provide employees an easy access to air quality and emissions data which help them to identify the source of odors and respond to any inquiries and complaints. It is worth mentioning that Orpic pursued a policy of transparency in presenting and updating the air quality and emissions data through a direct update on Orpic website. The Mobile Unit As part of the Environmental Quality Control Center, Orpic launched the mobile unit which aims to monitor the air quality in the surrounding areas and determine the concentration of odors that is emitted. We undertook a comprehensive plan for environmental improvement in coordination with the Ministry of Environment and Climate Affairs and Sohar Environmental Unit that aimed to implement a number of projects related to the reduction of air emissions and emitted odors through three main areas as the following: Reducing Air Emissions from Refinery Operations Air Quality Monitoring Data New systems were utilized to reduce emitted odors and volatile gases which have been successfully implemented. SO2 emissions from the wet gas scrubber unit were reduced by more than 90%. This resulted in a dramatic decrease in the number of complaints received from the community by more than 85% compared to previous years. Also achieving lower burn rates from the main Flare and 60% decrease in Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs) leaking from pumps, valves and equipment. Industrial Waste Management Orpic invested in the field of managing the industrial waste which generated from its operations through: Reduce the Amount of Industrial Waste Reuse the Waste after Disposing all Damaged Materials Recycle the Waste by Local Companies Allocate Store to Receive Industrial Waste (hazardous and non- hazardous). The store follows all standards and requirements issued by the Ministry of Environment and Climate Affairs. Improving Wastewater Treatment Operations and Reducing Emitted Odors. New effective systems used to alleviate odors and reduce the concentration of volatile gases. 9 In-Country Value & Business Opportunities: Achieving the economic and social objectives revolves around raising the lifestyle standard, improving the production structure and build human resources who can contribute in developing the economy and achieving social welfare. The business opportunities considered being the cornerstone of economic development through maximizing In-Country Value and creating a network of suppliers who have the ability to build close links and meet the requirements of workflow. In-Country Value (ICV) In line with the government s call to support Small & Medium Enterprises (SME), the ICV team is committed to provide and facilitate business opportunities for local SMEs through conducting weekly meetings in order to exchange information and share knowledge as well as encourage SME s to register on Joint Supplier Registration System (JSRS). It also introduces available investment opportunities within Orpic and its strategic growth projects - Sohar Refinery Improvement Project (SRIP), Muscat Sohar Product Pipeline (MSPP) and Liwa Plastics Industries Complex (LPIC). Objectives of SMEs Support and Development System: Strengthen the Relationship Between Orpic and SME s Provide SME s the opportunities to introduce their services Discuss challenges and overcome obstacles faced Introduce E-tendering system (Tawreed) and the way of registering in JSRS Exclusive Contracts for SMEs ICV plans are an essential part in all Orpic tenders which exceed USD 1 million. These plans include seven elements which focus on Omanization percentage, local purchases and services. It aims to improve SME s, facilitate opportunities with Orpic contractors and allocate exclusive contracts for local SME s only. Vendor Development Program (VDP) In the field of Local Vendor Development, Orpic aims to establish three main initiatives. One of the initiatives is currently under construction as it is specialized in developing a local company to produce high quality plastic bags (FFS bags). Also, there are two initiatives under study the areas of engineering work of valve and its workshops related work. It is worth mentioning that this program aims to develop local suppliers in sophisticated industries which are not currently available in the Sultanate. The idea is to find a high demand in specific industry that is provided by non-local supplier and qualify local supplier to work in the same field by supporting and developing the technical foundation to be able to provide the service in specific industry in accordance to the Guide Manual issued by the project management office at the Ministry of Oil and Gas. 1st Research and Development Center of Catalysts W. R. Grace Company is part of Orpic plans to meet the requirements of ICV in term of supporting national training institutes, education and development center of Oman s oil and gas sector. The W. R. Grace Company provides US $ 3.5 million to create a sophisticated laboratory to examine catalysts, which is the first of its kind in the Middle East. The project aims to create opportunities for learning and development in different scientific fields includes the scientific specialization for universities students such as mining operations, chemical and materials engineering. It will also develop the oil and gas sector in the Sultanate by enhance the technical and specialized technical expertise. Also the laboratory will develop the educational institution in North Al Batinah specially Sohar University, where the laboratory located. 10 Orpic Supplier Symposium 2015 Orpic signed supply contracts with a number of Omani companies, SMEs and international suppliers in the fourth Supplier Symposium in Sohar. This annual event witnesses wide participation from local and international suppliers. It aims to build strong relations with the current and future suppliers as well as SMEs in order to present the latest updates and available opportunities across different business and projects within Orpic. Also, for the first time ever, Orpic Suppliers Awards were announced. 12 Social Investments: Social responsibility is one of social contemporary life pillars and important factor that contribute in the economic and social development of communities. Therefore, Orpic keen to realize the integration in roles by consolidate the relationship with the local community. It embraced social investment policy within its present and future plans to contribute in the country sustainable development through social investments projects and programs in several fields. Also, through it social investment arm Jusoor Foundation, which adopted different social projects. Major Social Investments Projects The 3rd Batch of Orpic Scholarship One of Orpic s endeavor is to develop and nurture the future leaders of Oman and hence it launched the Orpic International Scholarship Program. This year, Orpic welcomed the third batch of students. This initiative is part of Orpic s continued support to young students in North Al Batinah as well as the Sultanate in general. The programme entailed selecting students from North Al Batinah Governorate to benefit from the scholarships provided based on preset criteria s. Once applications are received, screening of candidates was carried out by Takatuf Scholars Programme and selected students were offered international scholarships for two years in a preparatory school followed by another 4 years for Bachelor Degree in one of the leading universities around the world. Assisted Scholarships Program Orpic s Joint Venture with Sohar Aluminium in Al Batinah International School (ABIS) has paved way for supporting quality education in the region. This joint venture - will allow for the expansion of ABIS from its current capacity of 200 to 1,000 by 2021/22. In addition to the International Community Section, a new Global Section will open in August 2016 and will provide high quality international education that ABIS is known for. The Global Section will have an increased emphasis on English, Arabic and Islamic studies with the aim of helping children grow into Oman`s leaders of tomorrow. Falaj Al Qabail Public Park Falaj Al Qabail Park is one of important social projects. It is a standard park in the region which combines entertainment, sports and educational facilities. In addition to the green landscape, sports fields and other services, the park will include scientific exploration center for kids. This center will cover all educational and sports aspects through edutainment and discovery of natural phenomena. The total area of the park is 37,000 m2 with a total cost of RO 900,000 and will target residents of North Al Batinah. The park opened on August Liwa Cultural Center Liwa Cultural Center is an integrated cultural destination that serves local community and targets different social and cultural categories. The Center will include a planetarium, public library, educational center and museum with a total area of 6000 m2. The Centre located in the Wilayat of Liwa near Al Salam Sports Club and the Omani Women s Association. This project aims to activate Liwa cultural aspects and support researchers with scientific references. Also it will provide suitable area for kids to acquire science, knowledge and unload their energies through fun and education. Liwa Public Park Liwa Public Park Project is one of the most important projects that aim to strengthen the relationship with community. It is located in a central location between the city center and the new residential area thereby covering the maximum number of people who can benefit from the park facilities. The total area of the project is 66,000 m2 with total cost of more than RO 400,000. The project is expected to complete in the first quarter of Investments Building for Sports Clubs In cooperation with the Ministry of Sports Affairs represented by the Directorate General of Sports Affairs in North Al Batinah, Orpic and Sohar Aluminum agreed to support the investment building of Sohar, Majis and Al Salam sports clubs. The total cost of the project is RO 700,000. Education and work are our only means of progress and development within the context of our Islamic civilization. - His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said, 1986, on the occasion of SQU inauguration 18% Heritage & Culture 28% Sport & Youth 38% Education 2015 Orpic Cup Orpic Cup is a football initiative launched in cooperation with the General Directorate of Sports Affairs in North Al Batinah targeting the third and fourth place winners of Promote Your Team contest for 12 local teams in the governorate. This initiative aims to strengthen the relationship with the local teams, create sports competitive atmosphere for youth, encourage talents, and provide indirect support to the community through local teams. Al Khadima team representative of Al Khaboora club won the first version of the Cup, after defeating Del Al Break Team representative of Saham Club in the final match in Sohar Sports Complex, under the patronage of HE Sheikh Rashid bin Ahmed Al Hinai, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Sports Affairs. Orpic Award for Educational Excellence Orpic announced its Award for Educational Excellence in cooperation with the General Directorate of Education in North Al Batinah which targets more than 106,317 students across all schools in the governorate. The award aims to: Honoring Distinguished Students Improving the education is not limited to providing educational facilities and tools, but actually it expands to the importance of motivating human resources and encourages them to exert their maximum capacity to pursue excellence. Therefore, Orpic organized a regatta for traditional boats in collaboration with the General Directorate of Sports Affairs in North Al Batinah. The 2015 race witnessed a wide participation from more than 17 boats across various categories. 14 Community Support Education Sector My Craft, My Future An Omani craft industry is a promising social and economic development for Omani society. Orpic supports initiatives that serve this aspect, including, but not limited My Craft, My Future exhibition organized by Hawa bint Yazeed School for the third year in a row. The exhibition showcased a number of initiatives for young entrepreneurs who have the potential to be successful. Learn and Fun in Healthy and Safe Environment As part of its ongoing support to the local community, Orpic has funded the Kids corner at Omani Women s Association, Shinas. This support aims to improve the association s facilities and offer an educational and secure environment for children to exercise and apply their skills. This will further contribute in helping children achieve a combination of physical as well as mental activity. The School Bag Project Reduce the Burden of School Bags is a project implemented by Hind bint Al Muhallab School for Basic Education in Sohar and funded by Orpic. The aim of the project is to educate students and their parents about the risks of carrying heavy school bags, and taught the ideal way of organizing and carrying school bag. 15 Health and Community Al Maqham Healthy Village Raising awareness on different health issues and improve the quality of services in villages is an important issue, Orpic extended support to Al Muqham Healthy village in Al Rustaq, which chosen by the Ministry of Health and UNICEF to be a Model Health Village. This support emphasizes the importance of effective partnership between the community and institutions in all fields, including health sector. Sport for all In order to build a synergy and enhance collaborative environment between the private sector and government entities, Orpic funded the North Al Batinah Governor Cup (A 5 aside) football tournament for the second year in a row. The tournament held at Sohar Sport Complex and with the participation of several teams from various government and private institutions in North Al- Batinah. North Al Batinah General Directorate of Education won the tournament after defeating Vale Oman Pelletizing Company team. In the same context, Orpic funded Liwa Football Tournament in its second edition. The tournament held at Al Salam Club with the participation of several teachers teams from various Schools in Liwa. The tournament aims to encourage sports and raise awareness of the importance of sports for a healthy lifestyle. Sohar bin Al-Abbas School for Basic Education won the tournament cup in the final match. Social Cultural Center Orpic provided support to the Cultural Center of Ghadfan Sports Club which is a part of Al Salam Club. This center contributes to enhance the social and cultural role of local teams and provide services which enable youth to spend their free time efficiently. The center provides many facilities such as computer room, public library, and places to hold training courses targeting all categories of society. Your Decision Determines your Fate Orpic participated in the 32nd Traffic Week of Gulf Cooperation Council organized by Royal Oman Police (ROP) under the title Your Decision Determines your Fate. The company supports a series of activities in Sohar and Liwa including lectures, awareness videos, an exhibition and competitions. Anti-Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Orpic supported the participation of the Willayats of Sohar and Liwa in the national social competition which was held under the title Reduce the Spread of Drugs and Psychotropic Substances. Health Committees of different Wilayats compete in the field of spreading awareness among teenagers and youths about the dangers of drugs and the serious consequences of addiction. This competition is a part of the National Committee for Narcotics and Psychotropic Substances strategy which will continue for a period of two years. Assistive Apparatus for Al Noor Association To encourage people to take part and engage effectively in the society, Orpic funded Al Noor Association for the Blind in Sohar. 17 Community School: Community School is a series of educational activities and lectures that aim to enrich students and the local community as well as share their experience with trainees in different disciplines. Safety First Road Safety Award 2015 In recognition of the continuous efforts in raising traffic safety awareness, Orpic secured the 3rd place at the 2015 Oman Road Safety Competition in the institutions and private sector company s category which organized by Royal Oman Police (ROP) represented by its Traffic Safety Institution. Road Safety Awareness Campaign Orpic conducted an awareness campaign on Road Safety in Salalah Gardens Mall, in cooperation with Royal Oman Police, wherein a series of activities and events that address different demographics conducted, including: Best Road Painting by children, mobile traffic bus as well as showcasing a number of movies and awareness programs on road safety. This campaign aims to increase awareness about traffic rules and the importance of adhering to those rules. About 1500 were directly benefitted from this awareness campaign. Traffic awareness for school students In the same context of traffic safety, Orpic organized traffic safety campaign for school students, which hosted by Al Rabe e bin Habib School in Sohar in cooperation with the Royal Oman Police and North Al Batinah General Directorate of Education. This campaign designed to familiarize students with the rules and procedures of road safety and the proper behavior in the case dangerous situation among school students as they are the future of Oman. Defensive Driving Course for Bus Drivers Orpic organized Defensive Driving training course for School bus drivers in coordination with Traffic Safety Institute of Royal Oman Police (ROP) and North Al Batinah General Directorate of Education. The main aim of this course is to instill traffic safety concept among drivers thereby enabling them to respond to any kind of emergencies situations. Also, to improve school transportation system and ensure safety of Students. The course included theoretical aspects and a number of practical exercises such as checking tires, engine, seat belts and traffic lines regulations. It concluded by honoring bus drivers who has passed the tests by completing 60 hours of training successfully. It is worth mentioning that this course is the second of its kind with 60 drivers participated. HSE and Firefighting Training Program Securing safe and sustainable environment is the responsibility of everyone. In Orpic we work to achieve a unified objective of creating accidents-free work environment and spread community awareness regarding occupational health and safety. Therefore, a training program on Health, safety, environment and Firefighting organized for supervisors of North Al Batinah General Directorate of Education. 18 Earth Hour 2016 In line with Orpic core value to put safety and environment first, Orpic organized an environment awareness event in celebration of 2016 Earth Hour in Al Resala School for Basic Education. The event organized in cooperation with Director of Environment & Climate Affairs and Director of Agricultural Research in North Al Batinah. It included awareness session about climate change on the Sultanate for more than 200 students who are directly benefited. SChemE Chemical Forum at SQU Orpic funded the Society of Chemical Engineering (SChemE) forum at SQU. The 5 days exhibition showcased the Petrochemical and Refineries through prototypes models and other various simulation processes that help to enhance and expand student knowledge in this field and on Chemical Engineering in general. It is worth mentioning that Chemical Engineering students from various Universities and Colleges were given the opportunity to demonstrate their projects and research through participation in exhibition. The exhibition was attended by visitors from Universities, Colleges, and Schools. Education...building and prosperity Career Guidance Workshop Orpic in collaboration with North Al Batinah General Directorate of Education organized a program on How to determine your career path targeted school students in the grades (9-10) to guide them in choosing a major that suits their desires and capabilities. A number of other factors were also discussed in the program like decision-making. Seven Habits of Highly Effective People Be Proactive is the first habit discussed by the Consultant Ayoub Al Ayoub in the training workshops organized by Orpic in collaboration with North Al Batinah General Directorate of Education. It targeted professional guidance specialists of North Al Batinah General Directorate of Education. Tedx Muscat in Sohar As part of its commitment towards developing the Omani Youth, Orpic supported Oman Medical College in Sohar to organize Tedx Muscat which is global community conference gathered individuals who believes in the power of Ideas worth Spreading. The Conference included four different sessions and attended by large number of students and the faculty of the College. These sessions focused on self-development and professional success as well as the ways to face life s challenges. English Language Competition Orpic supported the second edition of the annual English Language Competition for Liwa and Shinas Schools. This competition aimed to encourage students to learn English Language and develop their reading, writing, speaking and communications skills through connecting education with entertainment. The Competition was organized and supervised by North Al Batinah General Directorate of Education. Discover the World and Innovate In order encourage students to bring innovative ideas that can add a country value and to enhance learning by integrating theory with practice. Orpic supported the 3rd annual Competition Discover the World around You and innovate for school students in North Al Batinah. 19 Health is Wealth Elderly Care and Community Health Campaign Orpic recently supported the Elderly Care and Community Health Campaign implemented by the North Al Batinah General Directorate of Health Services. The campaign included different activities such as educational sessions in number of health institutions, schools and public forums. There was also an awareness exhibition to inform and educate people about the early warning signs of ill health. About 5000 people were directly benefitted from this campaign. Light It up Blue initiative In order to raise community awareness about autism and to shed light on the social issues associated with it, Orpic participated with Sohar Autism Center in the World Autism Awareness Day under the title Light It up Blue. Awareness Induction workshop on autism focused on its causes and methods of care to avoid any negative effects was delivered. The day ended by honoring number of highly skilled and talented people with autism. Liwa Marathon Water play an important role not only in the biological processes of human, but it goes beyond as it is the basis for major economies and industries in the worldwide; this was the focus of the World Water Day in 2016 which came under the theme Water and jobs. Orpic participate with the world in this event by supporting third edition of Liwa Marathon which organized in collaboration with Liwa Municipality to shed light on the importance of water quality and quantity on people and their lifestyle, as well as encouraging people to practice sports to create a healthy community. Diabetes Awareness Program Few changes in daily lifestyle, adapt integrated food with physical exercise on a regular daily basis are able to protect human being from many diseases which spread in recent times and in turn increase the need of awareness. Therefore, Orpic funded Hawa bint Yazeed School for Basic Education in Sohar to organize an awareness program targeted the school students, teachers, school bus drivers and surrounding communities. The program aimed to increase awareness on different health issues and activate schools social role as important educational institution. World Kidney Day Orpic supported the 8th Think Kidney Symposium and exhibition organized by Sohar Hospital. The symposium shed light and raised awareness about Kidney diseases that is considered a silent killer and can largely affect the quality of life. The accompanied exhibition included an open stage, informative materials and dialysis devices. 21 Voluntarism Campaigns: Orpic engages its employees and the community in volunteer activities to promote the concept of responsibility towards the community. Together towards clean Oman Orpic organized Waste Free Environment campaign as a part of the Gulf Petrochemicals & Chemicals Association (GPCA) annual initiative. The campaign last for three days in three villages in Al Rustaq. It held in collaboration with the GPCA, office of Wali Al Rustaq, Rustaq Municipality, Ibn Adam Company for Recycling, Muscat Industrial Development and Services, South Al Batinah General Directorate of Education, representative from Al Baraa bin Malk School (boys) and Sini School (girls). More than 500 volunteers were participated in the 2nd edition of the campaign. Blood Donation Campaign In association with the Ministry of Health Services - General Directorate of Blood Bank, Orpic organized its annual blood donation campaign under the title Give blood, Share Smile, for its employees in MAF and Sohar Refineries. This campaign is held to encourage employees to donate their blood, promote the importance of voluntary work and positive interaction with the community. Orpic expanded the scope of the campaign by providing support to the blood donation campaign of Naeem bin Masood School in Sohar which targeted school students, teachers, school bus drivers and people from the neighboring community. Participated Fit MAF Sohar Naeem bin Masoud School Plant a Tree Initiative Orpic in cooperation with Jusoor and Agricultural Research Department in North Al Batinah implemented Plant a Tree initiative for Orpic employees as 300 mango, ceder, and lemon trees were distributed to employees in different departments. Also, part of another plant a tree session followed by workshop about tree planting by using vaccination method held for Al Resala School for Basic Education. This session aims to encourage students to head outside into nature to care and appreciate their local environment. 23 Community Engagement Visitors Center Orpic Visitors Centre is an important interaction channel with the community, as clear, accurate and relevant information about Orpic is provided. This in turn will increase community awareness on Orpic and its role in serving Oman with pride. Orpic visitors center received more than 2,400 visitors since 2015 until June The visit program is organized according to the objective of the visit and visitors category. The visit is not limited to the center only, but it extends to all the company s departments and projects. Also, a number of presentations are delivered during visits about different areas like HSE, business opportunities, ICV and social investment. Business Opportunities and SME Support As a part of supporting SME s, Orpic received a group of entrepreneurs from National Business Centre, which included businessmen and women working in different fields like media, economic and financial consulting, safety, technical and engineering works. The group was headed by Malak Al Shaibani, Director General of the National Business Center who showed her pleasure towards the visit and believes that it s a beginning of integration program to visit other companies. The visitors were introduced to Orpic and given presentation on ICV, business opportunities, procurement, registration and tendering process. Engagement and Reach-out Community Reach-out Orpic hold regular meetings and organize dialogue sessions with different community leaders to update them about latest environmental development and introduce Orpic growth and future projects to them. Orpic received Saham Community leaders headed by His Excellency Sheikh Ali bin Mansour Al Busaidi, Wali of Saham. The visit includes plant tour and presentations about company s performance in various fields such as HSE, business and job training. 24 Eid Gifts for In-Patients Kids Part of continuous community engagement, Orpic employees share the joy of Eid Al Adha celebrations with In-patients kids at several hospitals in Sohar. Numbers of gifts and toys were presented to those kids who deprived of the chance to celebrate Eid with their families and friends. Orpic organized this initiative for the 3rd year in a row. Participating on National Celebrations Orpic celebrated the 45th National Day with the community through direct engagement with around more than 20 schools and government entities by distributing nearly 13,000 items (including scarfs, badges and flags). Also, Orpic sponsored the art exhibition organized by Umiah bint Qais School in Liwa on the occasion of Oman s 45th National day celebration. Students had the opportunity to express their love for His Majesty Sultan Qaboos by drawing expressive and beautiful paintings. Moreover, funded was provided to the project of largest map of the Sultanate by using Omani currencies, organized by Rahab School for Basic Education in Liwa. All society members participated in this artistic picture to represent their love and loyalty for HM Qaboos and Oman. Bowling Cup Championship Orpic won the 1st place in the Bowling Charity Tournament held in Oman Bowling Center.
