1 BASEBALL TOMORROW FUND APPLICATION HELP The Baseball Tomorrow Fund (BTF) grant application includes an eplanation or description of the information requested for each section. Application Help is intended to provide general tips as well as additional information or eamples for selected sections of the application that may need clarification. Please review the Baseball Tomorrow Fund FAQ's (Frequently Asked Questions) for answers to common questions. GENERAL TIPS Before beginning the application process, carefully review the Baseball Tomorrow Fund evaluation criteria. The information provided in the letter of inquiry and grant application should address this criterion. We strongly suggest that you download the application form and type the information into the document. The application may be downloaded at Please do not submit letters of inquiry or applications in report covers, folders, binders, with tabs or with binding of any type. Letters of inquiry and applications should be typed. Please complete the application in its entirety. All of the information requested in the application is critical to the evaluation process. Incomplete applications cannot be evaluated. Please provide information in a concise manner. Organizing the information with bullet points may be helpful. Provide complete and accurate contact information on all correspondence. Correspondence without this information cannot be processed and evaluated. The original and copies of the application must be collated and stapled or clipped individually. Inquiries and applications may not be submitted by or fa. Please number each page of the application. Keep a copy of the letter or application for your files. Do not send video tapes or CD Roms. Confirmation and follow up inquiries from BTF to the applicant will be sent via to the contact person. The grant review process may take 3-6 months, so please plan accordingly. Postmark dates are not considered. Applications received after the deadline may not be considered during the corresponding review cycle.

The Baseball Tomorrow Fund generally supports projects in which at least 50% of the total cost has been secured by matching funds. The average BTF grant award is $50,000.

4 DETAILED PROJECT BUDGET This information is etremely important to the evaluation of the application. The figures provided in this section should be consistent with the figures provided on the Budget Summary page. Line Item Column - List each budget item related to the proposed project. Please be specific when listing budget items, including quantities and cost per item. For eample, 'Uniforms' should be broken down by item. For eample: 50 pairs of pants ($10 each), 50 jerseys ($10 each), 50 caps ($5 each), etc. Baseball Tomorrow Fund Grant Share Column - For each budget item, specify the dollar amount requested from the Baseball Tomorrow Fund. Applicant's Share-Cash Column - For each budget item, specify the dollar amount that has been committed by the applicant organization. Applicant's or other Share-in-Kind (Cash Equivalent) Column - For each budget item, specify the cash equivalent amount committed by the applicant organization or other (i.e. donated labor, materials, services.) Other Share Cash Column - For each budget item, specify the dollar amount committed by other sources of funding (i.e. other foundations, corporations, private donations of cash.) Total Cost Column - Please provide the totals for all budget line items, the totals for each column and the total cost of the project. Provide totals for each row and column!
