20 Addi8onal Informa8on II The proposal does not have to respond to all three indicators for the SMEDA project listed in the CFP CVs of experts/staff can be presented in more than one proposal; however, feasibility has to be ensured, in case that two proposals with the same experts are selected. Applicants may submit mulfple Proposals, serve as a partner for another ConsorFum. While there are no strict restricfons against mulfple submissions from the same organisafon, the diversity of the grantee pool will be a factor in funding submissions. Therefore, we encourage you to think crifcally about the relafve strengths of the projects for which you are considering submisng Proposals. In- kind contribufon is not compulsory for the budget and is no selecfon criteria SMEDA 12/10/2016 page 20
21 Addi8onal Informa8on III Pro bono advice specifies services that are free of charge to enterprises (in parfcular to SMEs). These services can be provided by volunteers, staff or advisors. Funding for these services may be issued through project funds/grants. The tasks should be split within the applicants of the consorfum (shown within the descripfon of acfvifes). There is no obligafon to highlight this within the budget. This CFP excludes applicafons from private companies in the form of single enffes. Only private companies associated in BMO/associaFons/networks/ clusters/clubs of entrepreneurs or companies are eligible. If candidates are not chosen for the first grant cycle, they may apply again for the second grant cycle. SMEDA 12/10/2016 page 21
22 Addi8onal Informa8on IV All applicants will receive a decision within four to five weeks regarding whether or not they are selected. We cannot guarantee every proposal will receive detailed feedback, however, applicants are welcome to contact the project with specific quesfons about their proposal. Applicants may submit a proposal that is being considered by other organizafons. If your proposal is selected by both SMEDA and other funding organisafons you will be required to report this to SMEDA and adjust or expand the acfvifes and budget as appropriate so there is no duplicafon of funding. You are allowed to expand your project s scope of work with funding from other sources, as long as you complete the project SMEDA funded to being conducted. Only organisafons (BMO/BSO/etc.) registered in Armenia are eligible for the Call for Proposal. SMEDA 12/10/2016 page 22
23 Business Membership Organisa8on (BMO) This CFP uses the definifon of BMO used by GIZ internafonally. BMO are here referred to as various organisafons where companies or individual entrepreneurs and somefmes other business organisafons are members. BMOs advocate the interests of their members and respond to their needs by delivering required services and informafon. A general disfncfon is to be made between business associafons and chambers. Worldwide different types of associafons exist such as trade or industry associafons (also clusters), small scale enterprises associafons, business women s organisafons, industrial estate associafons, employers associafons, federafons (formed by other BMOs at lower administrafve levels). As chambers of commerce and industry in Armenia are established under private law (no obligatory membership of companies) they are also referred to as BMO SMEDA 12/10/2016 page 23
