2 Mandatory Reporting of NCT# s on QCT Claims RADG UPDATE INSIGHT QCT Subject Log LIVE Roll Out NCT # Initiative - Pending Sr. Leadership final approval NCT# - National Clinical Trial Number assigned by clinicaltrials.gov QCT s - ~70 MGH clinical trials with a study design that qualifies for some or all patient care charges to be billed to Medicare - All receive a Medicare Coverage Analysis (MCA) Billing Grid 6 Month Interim Process Until EPIC Go Live QCT Targeted Education by Research Compliance INSIGHT QCT Subject Log PI/Designee enters all QCT subjects with patient care billable services (Fund #, name, MRN, DOS) Billing Offices Use QCT Logs to insert NCT # on claims 1/15/

5 QCT Subject Log Data Entry Instructions Your fund number search will bring you to a screen with a list of subjects who have had charges billed to the research fund prior to 1/1/14. If you see the subject name, you do not need to re-enter it. You re done. Select Log out at upper right hand corner of screen If you do not see the subject on the list, click on Add Subject button at the bottom of the grid (green arrow). 1/15/2014 4

7 Research Portal Project Update 7 Recent Progress: Research Management Prototype testing: reviewed and revised site layout and content with ~60 users over three rounds of testing (representation from BWH, MGH, PHS, McLean, Spaulding); received excellent feedback which has helped finalize key implementation details Defined high-priority scope items based on community feedback (e.g., activity feeds from Insight/InfoEd, curated links) Solidifying plans for development, migration, testing, communication and launch Working on portal naming and branding soliciting feedback from the community Governance structure determined: Core management team engaged with subteams focused on Communications, Integration, Content, etc. February 2014: Begin development in portal environment Full audit of existing site contents (15 sites) & arrangement into singlesite content architecture Looking forward to delivering key updates in February: site organization, branding, home page components, launch timeline
