4 Overview: About the Report PointRight s Medicare PPS Group Summary Report consists of three parts: Introduction Summarizes criteria used for the Report Medicare Days Provides a detailed overview of Medicare Resident days for the selected time period Estimated Medicare Reimbursement Provides a summary of Estimated Medicare Reimbursement using the current rates for the selected time period 4

5 Access the PPS Group Summary Report The following slides will guide you through the steps to access the PPS Group Summary Report Step One: Login to PointRight Step Two: Select the Report you want to see Step Three: Review the Report 5

8 Step 2: Access the PPS Group Summary Report 1. Click the Location tab to access your Corporate facility list 3. Select Products and click to view the Products page 8

Select the GLR you want to see from the Products list. On this screen we have selected the Medicare PPS Group Summary Report Click to view the Medicare PPS group Summary Report 9

12 PPS Group Summary Report: Customize Reports The report review dates can be customized at the top of the Group Summary report page, using the Period Start and Period End drop down options. Click Update Report to apply your changes. 12

13 PPS Group Summary Report: Customize Reports (cont.) Click a Category Tab to see information and reports related to that Category. The Introduction tab is the default. 13

15 PPS Group Summary Report: Introduction The top paragraph of the Introduction summarizes the Medicare assessments and Rates used for the selected time period. Section (1) explains payment rates used in the report calculation. Section (2) summarizes the percent of assessments for which the number of Resident Days needed to be estimated. Section (3) explains that the report is dependent on the assessments that are submitted to PointRight. 15

17 PPS Group Summary Report: Medicare Days The Medicare Days Report provides an overview of Medicare Resident days by RUG category for the selected time period. Report Generation Date 17

Key features of this Report include: Text summary of the percent of billable days in the Rehabilitation RUG category Overview of the percentage of resident days for the selected month in each RUG category. Percentages are also displayed in the Legend next to the pie chart. 18

20 PPS Group Summary Report: Estimated Medicare Reimbursement The Estimated Medicare Reimbursement Report displays Estimated Medicare Reimbursement, Resident Days and Average Per Diem using the current rate for the selected time period. Totals are displayed for the group as well as each facility. 20

22 Print the PPS Group Summary Report 1. Roll the mouse icon over the Print tab, and select Print Report from this Page 2. View PPS GSR as a printable report 3. Click the Print button in the report window to print. 22

23 Tips for Success Review RUG distribution in the pie chart to assist in RUG prediction and control Use Estimated Medicare Reimbursement Table to identify outlier facilities Review Medicare reimbursement over a longer time period (e.g. a quarter) 23
