SCHOOLS DIVISION SUPERINTENDENTS HEADS, PUBLIC ELEMENTARY AND SECONDARY SCHOOLS ALL OTHERS CONCERNED 1. The Search for Brigada Eskwela Best Implementing Schools is conducted every school year by the Department of Education to give recognition to public elementary and secondary schools with exemplary accomplishments arising from their participation in the weeklong Brigada Eskwela last May 15-20, The search covers the following categories for elementary and secondary levels: CATEGORIES ELEMENTARY SECONDARY Number of Teachers Number of Teachers SMALL 9 and Below 9 and Below MEDIUM LARGE MEGA 51 Above 101 Above 3. For Region XII, the validation period will be July 31 August 11, 2017, scheduled as follows: DATE DIVISION July 31 Kidapawan City August 1 Cotabato Province August 2 Cotabato City August 3 Sultan Kudarat August 4 Tacurong City August 7 South Cotabato August 8 Koronadal City August 9 General Santos City August 10 Sarangani Note: Schedule is inclusive of travel and actual validation 4. Expenses incurred in the conduct of the Brigada Eskwela Evaluation/Validation Search for Best Implementing Schools 2017 shall be charged to Adopt-A-School/Brigada Eskwela downloaded funds subject to usual accounting rules and regulations.

3 Attachment to Regional Memorandum No., s CRITERIA IN THE SELECTION OF BRIGADA ESKWELA BEST IMPLEMENTING SCHOOLS SY Criteria 1: SCOPE OF WORK 35% Repair and maintenance work completed based on School Improvement Plan Component % Assessment Score Roofing Works 5 Masonry Works 4 Carpentry Works 6 Doors and Windows 4 Electrical Work 4 Painting Works 8 Plumbing Works 4 Total 35 Note: Percentage will be adjusted based on the actual work or component per AIP. 1. SIP/AIP 2. Pictures before, during, after Criteria 2: DIVERSE VOLUNTEER PARTICIPATION 25% Sectors/s % Nature of Involvement # of Volunteers I. Parent Volunteer 15 Based on the number of parent volunteer turn-out over the targeted number of volunteer multiplied by 15% Current enrolment x 20% = target # of parents NP: 700 E : 20% = 600 Pv: 700/600 (15%) = 17.5% (Actual score 15%) II. Pictures Criteria 5: Creativity and Innovation 10% Creativity and innovation is based on the activity conducted based on its uniqueness and participation. No. of Activities Conducted Rating 5 and above 10% 4 8% 3 6% 2 4% 1 2% Criteria 6: Increment 10% Determined based on the percentage of the increase of the current performance with the previous/last Brigada Eskwela accomplishments.
5 Formula: Generated Resources and Volunteers GR = Present Previous x 100% Previous V = Present Previous x 100% Previous Increment = GR + V 2 In excess of 10% score, remaining percentage can be used for the tie breaker purposes. GENERAL GUIDELINES IN THE CONDUCT OF THE SEARCH FOR BRIGADA ESKWELA BEST IMPLEMENTING SCHOOLS FOR SY The Brigada Eskwela Search for Best Implementing Schools is a recognition given to schools that demonstrated exemplary accomplishments in the week long conduct of Brigada Eskwela held last May 15-20, The search is open to schools who wish to be validated / evaluated using the new categories and criteria. 2. Division Evaluation Team shall conduct On-Site Validation/Evaluation of the schools on July 10-20, Results of the evaluation shall be submitted to the Regional Office on or before July 21, The results shall indicate names of schools and their corresponding category with rating and ranking. 3. The Schools Division Superintendent shall endorse the Final Results for submission to the Regional Office using the template below. Reiterating the No fun fare, No extravagance and No disruption of classes in the conduct of the division and regional evaluation, SDOs are encouraged to
6 invite only important personnel and stakeholders for the evaluation. Standard format of the opening program shall be used in all schools. Failure to follow this policy shall be ground for automatic disqualification of the school.
