3 Grant Activity Grant Activity - Administration - Coordination ADMINISTRATION and COORDINATION: The Cottonwood SWCD staff will administer and coordinate the Buffer Program for Cottonwood County with assistance from Cottonwood County, NRCS, FSA and other local partners. Tasks will include completing all Elink reporting for the grant. BUDGET TOTAL: $5, ADMINISTRATION/COORDINATION activity to report. Grant Activity - Education and Information EDUCATION and INFORMATION: The Buffer program will be promoted through the Cottonwood SWCD and Cottonwood County using direct mailings, landowner meetings, USDA Update Radio Programs, news releases and other media. Tasks will include completion of marketing materials and the direct costs for advertising and materials. BUDGET TOTAL: $2, EDUCATION/INFORMATION activity to report. 4 Grant Activity - Mapping and Inventory MAPPING AND INVENTORY: Cottonwood SWCD staff will work in conjunction with County staff and other partners to complete buffer maps to assist landowners in Cottonwood County. Cottonwood SWCD staff will inventory land parcels and their associated owners for contact regarding buffer requirements and options. BUDGET TOTAL: $3, INVENTORY/MAPPING activity to report. 5 Grant Activity - Technical Assistance TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE: The Cottonwood SWCD Staff will be the lead technical authority for the Buffer Program throughout Cottonwood County. Activities will include: landowner assistance, site visits, buffer size verifications, program options, seeding plans and other assistance as required. The SWCD has on staff two technicians with TAA to complete conservation planning for buffers with landowners and operators. BUDGET TOTAL: $20, Staff hours will be calculated through hourly rates and reported through Elink. TECHNICAL/ENGINEERING ASSISTANCE activity to report.
