2 2017 AWARD PROGRAM CALL FOR ENTRIES Objectives of IMA Circle of Excellence Award Program 1. Generate case studies of successful incentive programs to be used to promote the use of incentives. 2. Provide a showcase for incentive marketing best practices. 3. Promote industry professionalism. 4. Provide recognition for IMA members and their clients. Evaluation Criteria 1. Program creativity 2. Program execution 3. Program results Entry Rules and Eligibility 1. Any member of IMA is eligible to submit an incentive program case study for consideration. The IMA member must have direct involvement with the submitted program. An IMA member may submit as many programs as qualify. 2. A submitting company will not be eligible to win more than one award in any given category. 3. An eligible Program is one that ended between January, 2016 and April 1, A prior entry that was not selected for the Award may be submitted again if it meets the timetable requirements. 5. Entries must be received in the IMA office by April 21, Collateral materials must be submitted via an electronic file or on CD or disk. Collateral material should include the client company s logo, the incentive program logo, and images to include: communications materials; awards; promotional materials, etc. Digital photographs, Power Point presentations, etc. are acceptable. Collateral material should not include the logo or name of the IMA Member company submitting the program. 7. The entry must be submitted on the official entry form. 8. Signatures of sponsoring member and client are required on the entry form. 9. An entry fee of $50.00 for each program submitted must accompany the entry. 10. 3 Judging 1. Each award category will be judged separately. Categories include but are not limited to: Sales Incentive; Consumer Promotion; Dealer/Distributor Incentive; Employee Incentive Program (Safety Program, Wellness Program, Productivity Program, etc.) There is a separate award entry form for Recognition Programs. 2. The judges will be selected by IMA s Award Committee; judges must be involved in purchasing premiums or developing incentive programs. Members may not serve as a judge of the competition in which they have submitted an entry. 3. To assure impartiality, the names of the IMA submitting company will be removed from the application prior to judging. Note: For this reason, do not refer to your company name in your case study or on collateral materials. All IMA Member company logos and references will be blacked out on the entry form. 4. Entries will be judged on creativity, value, execution, and results. Points are awarded in each of these areas. 5. Each entry must receive a required number of points to be eligible for the award. If there are no entries that receive the required number of points in a certain category, no award will be presented in that category. 6. The decision of the judges is final. 7. Companies who have submitted a Circle of Excellence Award entry will receive a summary of the judges collective comments regarding their entry. Presentation and Display of Awards The IMA Circle of Excellence Awards will be presented and showcased at the IMA Executive Summit in July. The award winning case studies will be featured online at

4 CIRCLE OF EXCELLENCE AWARD JUDGING CRITERIA 1. How successful was the program in accomplishing the original objectives? 2. Evaluate the originality and/or creativity of the program. 3. How appropriate was the premium/incentive in relation to the target audience? Consider participant demographics, program theme, time of program, etc. 4. Rate the value of the incentive to the recipient in regards to the desired performance. 5. Communication: How effectively was the program announced to the potential participants? Were the program rules clear? How effectively was the status of the program communicated to participants? How effectively were the results of the program communicated to participants? 6. Evaluate the advertising/promotional materials.
