The Level 9/10 Regional qualification score is In order to compete in the state championships as an event qualifier, you must have received a score of 9.0 or higher at two NY state qualifying meets. For Level Xcel: In order to compete in the state championships, you must have received a score of or higher at a NY state qualifying meet. The top 7 athletes regardless of age will comprise the NY State Team at the Regional Championships in the Silver, Gold, Platinum, and Diamond levels. NY has been allotted the following additional gymnasts regardless of age based off all around to compete as an All Star at the Regional Championship: Silver: 11 Gold: 11 Platinum: 9 Diamond: 4 INJURY PETITIONS: Rules and Policies p.19: ENTRY FEE: Level 9/10: $70.00 Xcel : $50.00 Registration must happen on meetmaker.com DEADLINE: 2/24/2017: Any registrations received after 2/24/2017 will be assessed a late registration fee. 9 Attention Graduating Seniors, Coaches and Parents! The Cindy Sielski Memorial Believe and Achieve Scholarship 2017 The New York State USAG Board is once again proud to announce The Cindy Sielski Memorial Believe and Achieve Scholarship. This scholarship is awarded in honor of our good friend, Brevet Judge, former State Judging Director, Regional Technical Chair and NYS USAG Chair Cindy Gleason Sielski. This $2, scholarship [or 2 $ scholarships] will be awarded to a New York State Gymnast who is presently a High School senior. She may be a competitor at any Level of USAG gymnastics. The awarding of this scholarship is based on an essay of approximately 750 words written and submitted by the athlete. This essay should embody the spirit of one of Cindy s favorite quotes, There is a Power in People Who Dream Big and Try Hard. All essays will be reviewed by the Scholarship Committee. The Scholarship will be awarded at the 9/10 State Meet, unless the winner competes at another Level. The Scholarship would then be awarded at the appropriate State Meet.
