2 FEBRUARY 4, 2018, SOUPER BOWL OF CARING - On Sunday February 4 th, millions of Americans will watch the Super Bowl football game. There will be parties with abundant food, friendship, and fellowship. At the same time, there will be people worried about staying warm and finding their next meal. Let s join with others around the country as we demonstrate God s love by loving our neighbors through the Souper Bowl of Caring. It s a simple, yet significant act of caring for others. This year we will be collecting for Matt Talbot Kitchen & Outreach in Lincoln. For over 25 years MTKO has served the homeless and near homeless. Feeding the hungry is at the core of their mission. Drop $1 or more in the soup pot as you leave Church on February 4 th. Thanks for supporting this effort and helping those most vulnerable in our community. FEBRUARY 4, 2018, SCOUT SUNDAY - All Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts in our parish. You are invited to participate in Scout Sunday on Sunday, February 4 th, for the 10:00 a.m. mass. You do not need to belong to Blessed Sacrament's Pack to participate. Please wear your blue, class A uniform and meet at the back of church by 9:45 a.m. with at least one parent for the procession before church. FEBRUARY 16, 2018, USHER S CLUB 29 TH ANNUAL LENTEN SOUP SUPPER NON-MEAT ALL-YOU-CAN -EAT! set for Friday, February 16 th, from 5 to 7:30 p.m. in the School Gym. We look forward to seeing you there. FEBRUARY 17, 2018, ALTAR SERVER TRAINING REFRESHER - Altar Server Training for boys attending Blessed Sacrament School and the Blessed Sacrament CCD program, grades 4 through 12, will be held at Blessed Sacrament Church on Saturday, February 17 th. The training day schedule is as follows: 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. - Refresher Training for All servers - This will include going over changes and clarifications of various server actions and duties. 11:00a.m. to 1:00 p.m. - Lunch & Fun time for All servers from both Blessed Sacrament School and the CCD Program are invited to lunch. This will be a great opportunity for the young men of our Parish to become involved in the Parish by sharing their time and talents as Altar Servers.
