12 SACRED HEART OF JESUS SCHOOL 2251 Main Street Baton Rouge, Louisiana fax March 27, 2018 Dear Parents, I am happy to announce that the Sacred Heart of Jesus School Library is reinstating the Birthday Book Club! This popular program was offered when I was a student here in the 1990s. The Birthday Book Club gives our school community an opportunity to support the library. By donating $20, a new book will be purchased in the name of your child (or children). Each newly purchased book will be personally selected by me to match your child s interest. The books will be marked with your child s birth date and the school year in which the donation was made. A book plate with this information will be placed inside the cover of each new book, and your child will be the first student to check it out after it is processed in the library! If your child is in Pre-K and not yet checking out books, the book will be read to his or her class during library time. Our school library is so blessed to have such wonderful support from our parents and community! This program will help our library continue to maintain an up-to-date and appealing book collection that caters to our readers varied interests and needs. If you wish to make a donation to the Birthday Book Club, please complete the following form. As an alternative, you may also write a special dedication message, such as a memorial donation, rather than a birthday donation. Please return forms and payment of $20 in an envelope marked Birthday Book Club. Thank you for your generous support of our library. Please turn in your order form and payment by Friday, April 13 for a Birthday Book Club order during the school year. Please contact me if you have any questions. Sincerely, Lizzie Cossé 03 Librarian 12
