1 Garald Emerich Memorial Scholarship Scholarship Number: 111 Contributor: Garald Emerich Memorial Fund Amount of Each Scholarship: $500 Number of Scholarships to be Awarded: One a. This scholarship will be presented to an individual pursuing a career in education such as teaching, counseling or administration. b. Applicant must plan to attend on a full-time basis. (12 credits or more) c. Scholarship may be used at any accredited college including UW Centers. d. Applicant must have a scholastic average of C+ (2.500) or better. Preference will be given to those who have taken a very rigorous college preparation curriculum. e. Member of this year's Mosinee High School graduating class. a. Applicant must complete the Education Scholarship Application and attach a one page typed essay detailing why you have chosen the field of education, what teaching experience you have had and why you think you would make a good teacher; second semester schedule and picture of applicant and return it to the Student Services office by the due date. b. Applicant may be asked to have an interview with the Local Scholarship Committee. a. Recipient will be selected by the MHS Education Screening Committee. a. Scholarship monies will be awarded at the Senior Recognition Night in the form of a check made out to the recipient and the post secondary school they will be attending. a. If an applicant isn't selected or if the applicant does not attend school, the money will be used next year.
2 Helen and Oscar Rockman Memorial Scholarship Scholarship Number: 120 Purpose of scholarship: In memory of the deceased members of the Rockman Family Amount of Each Scholarship: $1000 Number of Scholarships to be Awarded: One a. Applicants should have an average of "C+" or better. Students with lower averages may be considered. b. Applicant plans on attending an accredited college or post-high school institution during the next school year and meets all entrance requirements for that school. c. Member of this year's Mosinee High School graduating class. d. Financial need will be a consideration for this scholarship. a. Each applicant will be required to fill out the Community Based Scholarship Application and a Financial Need form and return both to the Student Services office by the due date. a. Selection of the recipient will be made by the MHS Scholarship Committee. b. Representative of the donor may serve on screening committee. a. Scholarship monies will be awarded at the Senior Recognition Night in the form of a check made out to the recipient and the post secondary school they will be attending.
3 Herb Kohl Educational Foundation Health Scholarship Amount of Each Scholarship: $100 Number of Scholarships to be Awarded: One a. Applicants need to be pursuing a career in the health field: i.e. School Health, Public Health or Health Education, Nursing or a health care related field, Special education/adaptive PE or coaching. b. Applicant must have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or better. c. Applicant must be accepted and plan on attending a 2 or 4 year accredited university or technical college on a full-time basis after graduation. (12 credit minimum) d. Member of this year's Mosinee High School graduating class. a. Each applicant will be required to fill out the General Scholarship Application and return it to the Student Services office by the due date. b. Applicants must also attach a one page, 200 word minimum, essay detailing why he/she chose a health field and describing career goals. a. Selection of the recipient will be made by the Donor. a. Scholarship monies will be awarded at the Senior Recognition Night in the form of a check made out to the recipient and the post secondary school they will be attending.
4 James Eick Memorial Scholarship Scholarship Number: 260 Amount of Each Scholarship: $500 Number of Scholarships to be Awarded: One a. Applicants must plan on majoring in the field of Social Studies or plan on becoming a history teacher. b. Applicant should have a Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or better. c. Applicant must have been accepted at an accredited college or post-high school institution and will be a full-time student starting in the fall after graduation. d. Financial need will not be a determining factor. e. Member of this year's Mosinee High School graduating class. a. Each applicant will be required to fill out the Education Scholarship Application and return it to the Student Services office by the due date. a. Selection of the recipient will be made by the MHS Scholarship Committee. a. Scholarship monies will be awarded at the Senior Recognition Night in the form of a check made out to the recipient and the post secondary school they will be attending.

Applicant must complete a General Scholarship Application form and attach a typed essay on My Greatest Life Experience and return both to Student Services office by the due date. a. Selection of the recipient will be made by the Donor. a. Scholarship will be given to recipient at the Senior Recognition Night in the form of a check made out to Recipient and the University/College they will be attending. a. Donor will select an alternate if recipient does not attend college.
6 Jimmy Edwards Memorial Scholarship Scholarship Number: 103 Donors: Mosinee Hockey Booster Club and an Anonymous Donor Purpose: The Jimmy Edwards Memorial Scholarship is to honor his dedication to and his love of the sport of hockey. His untimely death was a significant loss to the Mosinee High School Hockey Team. We wish to honor the memory of Jimmy, his positive attitude, winning smile and his unconditional love of hockey by distributing a scholarship to a deserving Mosinee High School hockey player. Number of Scholarships to be awarded: Two Amount of Scholarship: $1,000 Qualifications for Scholarship: a. Member of the current year s Mosinee High School Co-op Hockey Team. (Players or Managers that come to scheduled practices are qualified to apply. *Please note statisticians are not eligible, as they do not attend practices.) b. Applicant should have a GPA of 2.8 or better. c. Applicant must have been accepted at an accredited college or technical school. d. Applicant should have outstanding qualities in the following: character, leadership, service to school and community. e. Financial need will not be a determining factor. f. Member of this year s Mosinee High School graduating class. 1. Applicant must complete a Community Based Scholarship Application form and attach a minimum 250-word typed essay that answers the following questions: a. How have you demonstrated dedication to the sport of hockey? b. How have you been a role model for others and displayed a positive attitude toward the team? c. How have you provided leadership and service to both your school and community? The application form and the essay must be returned to Student Services by the due date. a. The Scholarship Committee will include, the MHS Hockey Team s Varsity Head Coach. b. Locally awarded scholarships must be awarded to non-family members. a. Scholarship will be given to recipient at the Senior Recognition Night in the form of a check made out to Recipient and University/College they will be attending. a. If recipient does not attend school, the money will be given to the alternate. b. If no applications are received for this scholarship, funds will be held over for the next year. c. If no applications are received for this scholarship, and funds remain at the end of the 2012 school year, they will be returned to the Mosinee Hockey Booster Club to benefit the program.
7 John & Fritzi Howland Memorial Scholarship Scholarship Number: 221 Contributors: Fritz Howland Friends & Family Amount of Each Scholarship: $250 Scholarships to be Awarded: Two a. Scholarship may be used at any accredited technical or four year college. b. Applicant demonstrates qualities of leadership. c. Applicant must pursue a post-secondary education in any field. d. Member of this year's Mosinee High School graduating class. a. Applicant must complete a Community-Based Scholarship Application form and return it to the Student Services office by the due date. a. This scholarship will be chosen by the MHS Scholarship Committee. It is the intent of the Howland family that the scholarship be awarded to outstanding students whose accomplishments have not adequately been recognized by other means. a. Scholarship will be awarded in certificate only at the Senior Recognition Night. b. The recipient must provide proof of registration of their enrollment. Proof of registration should be sent to Sue Nelson, Community Foundation of North Central Wisconsin, 500 1st Street, Suite 2600, Wausau WI (715) c. Payment will be made directly to the post-secondary school recipient will be attending.
8 Kronenwetter Lions Club Scholarship Scholarship Number: 237 Amount of Each Scholarship: $500 Number of Scholarships to be Awarded: One a. The scholarship is to go to a student who is visually impaired. b. If no student is visually impaired, it is to go to a student who is physically impaired. c. If no student is visually or physically impaired, it is to go to a student who is going into the medical field. d. Applicant must rank in the top 25% of their class. e. No student shall receive this scholarship if they have a full ride scholarship or if they are to receive more than 3 scholarships. The Lion s may be their 3 rd. f. Member of this year's Mosinee High School graduating class. a. Applicant will be required to fill out a Health Application and return it to the Student Services office by the due date. a. Selection of the recipient will be made by the Donor. a. Scholarship will be awarded at the Senior Recognition Night in the form of a check made out to the Recipient and the University/College they will be attending.. a. If the recipient does not attend school the money will be returned to the donor.
9 Lake DuBay Lions Club Scholarship Scholarship Number: 129 Amount of Each Scholarship: $500 Number of Scholarships to be Awarded: Four a. Applicant must reside in the Lake DuBay Lions Club service area, see following page, or be a child or grandchild of a Lake DuBay Lion. b. Applicant must have had a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.75 on a 4-point scale. c. Applicant must be a student beginning his/her first year of higher education. d. Scholarship may be used at any accredited institution of higher learning. e. Student must be a full-time student. (12 credit minimum) a. Applicant must complete Lake DuBay Lions Club Scholarship application form and return to Student Services office by the due date. a. The applications of all qualifying candidates will be reviewed by the Education Committee of the Lake DuBay Lions. The committee will select the recipient of the scholarship, plus a first and second alternate. a. Scholarship monies will be awarded at the Senior Recognition Night in the form of a check made out to the recipient and the post secondary school they will be attending. b. Money may be used for tuition, room and board. a. If the scholarship money will not be used by the chosen recipient, the alternate will receive the scholarship.

Applicant must be or have been involved in music, either in the high school or community. b. Scholarship may be used at any accredited technical or four year college. c. Member of this year's Mosinee High School graduating class. a. Applicants must complete Lee Schultz Memorial Music Scholarship Application form and letter of recommendation and return it to the Student Services office by the due date. a. Selection of the recipient will be made by the Donor. a. Scholarship monies will be awarded at the Senior Recognition Night in the form of a check made out to the recipient and the post secondary school they will be attending. b. Donor is responsible for payment.
12 Leonard J. Hebert Scholar Athlete Award Scholarship Number: 242 Contributor: Jim and Fred Hebert Amount of Each Scholarship: $3,000 Number of Scholarships to be Awarded: Two a. Applicant must have a cumulative GPA of 3.3 or better. b. Applicants should have outstanding qualities in the following: character, leadership, service to school and community, sports and scholarship. c. Member of this year's Mosinee High School graduating class. a. Applicants must complete a Leonard J. Hebert Application Form including essay and return it to Student Services by the due date. a. Selection of the recipient will be made by the Hebert Family. a. Scholarship monies will be awarded at the Senior Recognition Night in the form of a check made out to the recipient and the post secondary school they will be attending. a. An alternate will be chosen by the family. b. If no applications are received for this scholarship, funds will be returned to the DONOR.
13 Lorraine W. Kordus Memorial Scholarship Scholarship Number: 253 Contributor: Lorraine Kordus Family Members Amount of Each Scholarship: $1,000 Number of Scholarships to be Awarded: One a. Scholarship may be used at any accredited technical or four year college or university. b. Applicants should have outstanding qualities in character. c. Applicant must have overcome an obstacle in their life. d. Member of this year's Mosinee High School graduating class. a. Applicants must complete a General Application Form and return it to Student Services by the due date. b. Applicant must write a minimum 300 word essay, 12 pt, double spaced, explaining the obstacle in their life that they have overcome and what they did to defeat the problem. a. Selection of the recipient will be made by the Kordus Family. a. Scholarship monies will be awarded at the Senior Recognition Night in the form of a check made out to the recipient and the post secondary school they will be attending. a. If no applications are received for this scholarship, funds will be held over for next year.
14 Louis & Mary Zebro Scholarships Scholarship Number: 134 Contributor: Stanley Zebro Foundation Amount of Each Scholarship: $800 Number of Scholarships to be Awarded: Two (1 male, 1 female) a. Applicant has been accepted for admission and plans to attend an accredited College, University or Technical Training school as a full-time student within 6 months after receiving the grant. b. Financial need is a prime consideration for this scholarship. c. Member of this year's Mosinee High School graduating class. a. Complete Community Based Scholarship Application form and Financial Need Supplemental Information Application and return to Student Services office by the due date. a. Selection of the recipient will be made by the MHS Scholarship Committee. a. Scholarship will be awarded in certificate only during the Senior Recognition Night. b. Recipient should contact Marshall & Ilsley Trust Company, Zebro Foundation, PO Box 209, Wausau, WI , , with regard to the scholarship distribution process.
