51 PGI02238 RaiSE Enhancing social enterprises competitiveness through improved business support policies Priority axis: SMEs competitiveness Lead Partner:Catalan Agency for Business Competitiveness (ACCIO), ES Countries involved: HU, IE, FR, IT, SE, AT Social enterprise business support policies are still rare and, when available, fragmented among public authorities. This challenge has motivated RaiSE partners to engage in cooperation and interregional exchange to enhance regional SE support policies to foster competitiveness, facilitating access to markets as well as finance and innovation. 6 regions, with an existing SE base but varied policy contexts, unite efforts to tackle the common challenge. 13
52 PGI00116 REGIO-MOB Interregional Learning towards Sustainable Mobility in Europe Priority axis: Low carbon economy Lead Partner: Andalusian Institute of Technology, ES Countries involved: IT, PL, SI, RO, EL, UK European regions are facing an increasing mobility demand while coping with higher congestion levels. There is a strong need to increase the use of sustainable transport modes, promoting intermodality, technical innovation & the use of cleaner and more efficient systems. Overall objective of REGIO- MOB is to secure Europe s sustainable growth by promoting sustainable mobility in the European regions. Therefore influencing the relevant instruments in each concerned territory, contributing to their improvement & more efficient performance as a result of mutual interregional learning. 14
53 PGI00291 SYMBI Industrial Symbiosis for Regional Sustainable Growth and a Resource Efficient Circular Economy Priority axis: Environment and resource efficiency Lead Partner: Fundación FUNDECYT Parque Científico y Tecnológico de Extremadura, ES Countries involved: PL, IT, SI, EL, HU, FI The SYMBI project brings together 9 partners from 7 countries, including 4 management authorities of territorial programmes, to diffuse industrial symbiosis and align regional policies with the circular economy package of the European Commission. SYMBI aims to support the transition towards a resource-efficient economy through the establishment of territorial synergies to manage waste and exchange energy & by-products as secondary raw resources. 15
