13 Thematic country reviews on apprenticeship-type schemes What: help policy- and decision-makers and support EAfA a) set up high quality apprenticeships to suit national contexts (socio- economic, labour market, education & training), improve existing schemes to ease learning-to-work transition, put in place youth guarantees b) across Europe compare and learn from other countries better understanding of why apprenticeships work/do not work in their contexts, how to ensure they are of high quality c) within and across EU countries design and put in place measures that can contribute to reduce unemployment and inactivity Berlin 13
