9 PREPARING CLUSTERS4.0 STRATEGY FOR EUROPE Cluster organisations play key role in delivering innovation and regional development objectives. The function of clusters consists in: supporting industrial modernisation and interregional collaboration in the context of 3 S (Bioeconomy = smart priority of Romania); driving innovation, for example through the creation of new industrial value chains; connecting technology providers and technology adopters across regions. Interreg Europe projects (ClusteriX2.0, ClustersS3 and CREADIS3) help regions make use of the expertise and knowledge found in cluster ecosystems to support cross- collaboration. Source:
