1 Girl Scouts, Hornets Nest Council 7007 Idlewild Road Charlotte, NC , Outside Mecklenburg Website: Esprit de Corps Award 2017 This form must be submitted to the Troop Support Specialist by June 30 th 2017 A perfect score is 85. Scores of 70 or above quality for the award. Service Units who fulfill the Esprit de Corps requirements will be recognized at the Council Kickoff in the fall. Purpose: The Service Unit Team structure is designed to provide direct support to Girl Scout volunteers who work most closely with girls. This award is to recognize those Service Unit Teams who, by working together, accomplish the goal of providing that support in an outstanding manner, reflective of the goals and mission of Girl Scouting. This year s award covers activities from June 2016 to May Guidelines: 1. The Service Unit Team, with guidance from the Troop Support Specialist, must develop a Plan of Work based on the council s goals and objectives. This plan must be submitted to your Troop Support Specialist by July 31, Regular Service Unit Team meetings must be scheduled and held to monitor the progress of the Service Unit goals described in your Plan of Work. Adjustments may be made to your Plan of Work as needed. 3. For help in finding your Service Unit yearly goals as well as what the Service Unit has achieved contact your Troop Support Specialist, Sister to Sister Dept. and/or Program Dept. Service Unit Management Service Unit Team: All team members are registered adult Girl Scouts. The Service Unit Team has verified registration through Council database. Date completed: All Service Unit team members have completed appropriate training and/or demonstrated competence for the positions they hold. Attach a list of Team members, positions held and date of training or example of competence.
