16 MEMBERSHIP REPORTING RESOURCES (Continued) Membership Renewal Comparison The membership renewal report is a comparison of all members who were invoiced with a dues amount and compares those members who have paid during the same period the previous membership year. This report does not include all members of a chapter, only renewing members (not new, reinstating or Emeritus). Emeritus members are not required to pay dues and do not receive an invoice for membership dues. This is a custom report and cannot be produced through netforum. DIP Membership Dues Installment Program Rosters This report can be run directly in netforum by the Component staff. Report Central > Membership Module > Overview Category > AIA Dues Installment Program (DIP) Report Membership Fulfillment Reports These reports list the members that were included in the weekly fulfillment submissions. These include new, reinstating and upgrading members that are receiving full membership packets, as well as any requests for cards, certificates, pins or full membership packages. The members should receive their items in 3 4 weeks of submission to our provider. National Membership Demographics Reports This monthly report breaks our membership into categories to show the demographic diversity of our membership. The categories include gender, ethnicity, age, organization type, and member status. These are further broken down into member type categories. This is shown as member counts and as percentages of total members. This is a custom report, but the data comes from a report that can be run directly in netforum by Component staff. Report Central > Membership Module > Members Category> AIA Member Count by Mbr Type, Ethnicity and Gender National Historical Membership Performance Summary Report This report compares the month end membership counts by member type against both historical month end and year end data. This includes a breakdown by member status (new/reinstated/renewed), and percentages of retention, attrition and growth. This is a custom report and cannot be produced through netforum only. Regional Historical Performance Summary Report This report compares the regional month end membership counts by to historical month end data for up to five years (where available some months may not have historical data for each year). For 2013, the report also includes all detail data, sorted by region, state and local component. This is broken down by member type. This is a custom report and cannot be produced through netforum only. Component Historical Performance Summary Report This report compares the month end membership counts for each component to the historical month end data for up to five years (where available some months may not have historical data for each year). This is broken down by member type. This is the data used to create the Regional Historical Performance Summary Report. This is a custom report and cannot be produced through netforum only. 17 MEMBERSHIP FULFILLMENT RESOURCES New and reinstating members and members elevating from Associate to Architect generally receive welcome packages within six to eight weeks of joining or elevating to Architect. The AIA works with an external vendor who mails packages to members via first class mail. Orders are usually placed on a weekly basis. Joining, reinstating, and members elevated to Architect also receive a welcome letter from the AIA President sent out by AIA National. Welcome packages include membership certificates signed by the AIA President and AIA Secretary (11 x 14 for Architect members and 9 X 12 for Associate, International Associate, and National Allied members) and membership pins (gold tone for Architect and silver tone for Associate and International Associate members). National Allied members do not receive membership pins. In addition, the welcome package includes an AIA membership card and key fob. Downloadable samples of membership certificates are available using the link: Sample Fulfillment Certificates. A sample certificate is shown below. Sample Pins Sample Key Fob and Card Contact: Wanda Chambers Steinberg (Manager, Membership Initiatives) wandachambers@aia.org (202)
18 RESOURCES TO VERIFY FELLOWSHIP (FAIA) ELIGIBILITY Eligibility Requirement: Architect members who have been in good standing for at least ten years may be nomicated for Fellowship. During previous system conversions, there has been some data transfer issues that affect our ability to determine with 100% accuracy the historical data without additional, manual fact checking. We are working to correct data in our system to be able to identify all members history with complete accuracy. Once that process is complete we can provide a list of FAIA eligible members with certainty. Until that time, we can only provide resources to help verify members eligibility. Once you have determined a list of members that you would like to submit to be considered for Fellowship, and prior to completing the application process, you need to verify that the members are, in fact, eligible. There are two resources to be used to verify the 10 years of membership for a member to be eligible for Fellowship. 1) AIA History Archive Data o AIA History Archive Data User Guide Contact: Nancy Hadley (Manager, Archivist & Records) nhadley@aia.org (202) ) FAIA Netforum Report Instructions and User Guide 18
