This tank was part of the first batch of 60 items that were transferred from Aberdeen Proving Ground MD, to Fort Lee VA.

1 Surviving rare Sherman variants Last update : 14 January 2018 Listed here are the Sherman Calliope, M4A4 HVSS experimental and flamethrower tanks that still exist today. Aberdeen Proving Ground, September M4A4 w/ experimental HVSS gear Fort Lee U.S. Army Ordnance Museum, VA (USA) Serial Number 19617, built by Chrysler in April, 1943 (USA AFVs register). This tank was part of the first batch of 60 items that were transferred from Aberdeen Proving Ground MD, to Fort Lee VA. This vehicle is stored and is currently not visible Don Moriarty, February 2009 M4A4(75) Sherman T6 Swimming Device Vehicle NACM, Fort Benning, GA (USA) Serial Number 20026, built by Chrysler in April, 1943 (USA AFVs register). It was one of the tanks sent to York Safe & Lock for conversion to a T6 swimming device vehicle. It had a small number of spigot mortars added for beach obstacle clearance (Kurt Laughlin). Originally part of the Aberdeen Proving Ground Ordnance Museum collection, later transferred to the Marine Air-Ground Museum at Quantico, and now in the Patton Museum Collection (Joe DeMarco). The tracks with duckbills has been removed from this tank and serve to restore the Sherman Jumbo Cobra King in its original Dec configuration (Don Moriarty)

This vehicle is stored and is currently not visible Patrick Mooney M4A3(75)W CWS-POA-H5 Sherman (2-barreled) National Museum of the U.S. Marine Corps, Quantico, VA (USA) The picture shows the tank when it was recovered at Camp LeJeune NC, in 2003 or 2004 ( abcovey ). Chemical Warfare Service (CWS), Pacific Ocean Area (POA), Hawaii flamethrower tank. 70 of the CWS-POA-H5 variant were built in 1945, but no one has see combat use before the end of the war. Some have seen service during the Korean war (Hunnicutt)
