3 ISPOR Global Networks - EMEA 3 ISPOR Global Networks: EMEA, Asia-Pacific, Latin America ISPOR CEE Network part of the EMEA Global Network Region: Diversity in health status, organisation and financing of healthcare systems between Western/Northern and Central/East European countries (eg, large percentage of out-ofpocket payments in private financing sources in the latter) New opportunities for HEOR in the CEE region; heightened interest to issues of patient access to quality healthcare (both at the MoH and patient groups level) Established November 2012, 23 ISPOR Chapters 783 individual ISPOR members, over 3000 individual Chapter members EMEA: 1 Global Area 3 distinct regions Diverse cultural and political landscape inside and across regions Diversity in health status, organisation and financing of healthcare systems Unique opportunities for HEOR growth and development 3

5 EMEA Global Network Business Plan - I ISPOR Strategic Plan Priorities (excerpt): Strategic approach to ISPOR content, groups, products, and partnerships resulting in effective alignment around common goals Advancement of the Governance Initiative and implementation of changes to foster accountability and improved communication EMEA Global Network Plan is a part of the ISPOR Global Networks Business Plan Coherence and consistency across global regions while recognizing and managing intra-region diversity Better insight and understanding needed in The regional needs and current status of activities in ISPOR areas of interest (HTA, Patient engagement, training activities) Role and positioning of the stakeholder groups in the regions 5

6 EMEA Global Network Business Plan - II ISPOR Overall Goals and Priorities: Greater member involvement Connecting the Consortia and Networks to other ISPOR Groups Identification of key topics for future discussions and meeting suggestions Focus on science and information sharing among regions - increased communication and collaboration Global Networks Plan Specific Objectives: Alignment under a single business plan with appropriate regional customization of approaches and solutions Support existing Networks and Chapter activities and develop consistencies in chapter/network/consortia management practices Ensure that the voice/contribution of the EMEA regions is reflected in ISPOR strategic content conversations and knowledge products Ensure ISPOR global content strategies are integrated consistently in the EMEA regions and across global regions 6

7 EMEA Global Network Business Plan - III Implement: Annual agendas/work plans for the regional groups (in cooperation with the Networks Executive leadership) Improved follow-up and reporting on agreed activities; annual reporting on activities Enhanced structural facilitation from the ISPOR EMEA Team Surveys on Chapter HTA activities, training activities and needs, patient (or other stakeholders) engagement initiatives New Chapter Constitutions and Chapter Agreements; Consortium status and alignment of structures Explore: Opportunities for strategic partnerships and alliances in EMEA New 2-day event in the CEE region (2018) determine strategy Aim is to ensure high level of ISPOR regional cooperation that brings value to ISPOR constituencies 7
