3 2019 SCHOLARSHIP FAQ 1. I graduate in 2019, why must I complete this information now? The application process extends over the 4 year period of high school. In order to be considered for one of the scholarships you must submit the required documentation each year. 2. How many scholarships will be awarded? Approximately three scholarships. 3. When is the deadline to submit all required documents? The deadline for returning completed application, required documents and essay is the First Sunday in August How can I determine if I qualify? Read the eligibility list carefully. 5. Do I need to submit an official transcript? No, a copy of your year-end report card is sufficient. See exception for high school seniors. 6. Do I have to be a member for all four years? Yes, Student/applicant must be a member of ETBC as the first year of submission deadline. 7. Do I have to submit a resume? Yes, all scholarship applicants must provide a student resume each year. Resume should include the following, with dates of involvement: a. Church ministries b. Extra-curricular school activities c. Community Service d. Employment e. Awards & honors 8. Do I have to type the essay? All essays* must be typewritten. Include your name, church membership number, and telephone number listed at the top of each page. 9. How long must the essay be? No more than 500 words, using the passage Philippians 4:10-13, please tell us how this passage applies to a situation you may have encountered during your Christian walk? 10. What if I can not obtain a signature from my ministry or activity? Applicants are responsible for obtaining signature of ministry servant leader, community service director (or equivalent) or teacher administrator. 11. Who do I contact with questions?
