I have worked hard all of my life and I feel this award is the result. This recognition along with the reward of helping children is more then enough to make the journey of my education worth the effort.

7 Escalameza Scholarship in Bilingual/Multicultural Education Claudia Bermudez How did you feel when you found out you received a scholarship? When I found out I received this scholarship, I was really happy because this money will help me to survive my last semester of student teaching. As many people know, when working in the Teaching Credential, students need to do the student teaching and it is really hard work. It is hard to go to school full time and do student teaching at the same time. There is no time to work and we still need to pay bills, eat, and drive. This money will help me to have less stress in my daily life while finishing my last semester of my teaching credential. I am very happy and very proud to receive a scholarship from a person that has worked hard to accomplish her dreams.
