22 Mobility grants Mobility grants for both students and staff consist of Travel grant and Individual support Grants are based on unit costs and do not depend on real costs of the mobility Organising support (OS) grant of 350 per mobility Support for organisational costs Can be shared between sending and receiving institution to be decided with the partner HEIs.

28 Application procedure HE institution or a mobility consortium from a Programme country applies funding both for incoming as well as for outgoing mobilities from their National Agency FI institutions from CIMO Only one application to international credit mobility per one HE institution all partner countries in one application Coordination / support from international office Application can consist of student or staff mobilities or both. No restrictions, but choices should be clearly justified No restrictions for number of partner countries

29 Mobility consortium In addition to higher education institutions also mobility consortia consisting of several higher education institutions are eligible to apply Mobility consortium consists at least of three organisations, two of which must be higher education institutions Consortia are restricted to include members only from one country (=Finland) Mobility consortia must apply for a Consortium Accreditation with a separate application form If awarded, consortium eligible to apply for 3 years Mobility consortia apply funding with the same procedure as individual HEIs

31 Application form Part D: Activities Details Enter the incoming and outgoing mobility activities to tables by mobility type. Separate tables for student, staff mobility for teaching and training. Mobilities to same country and same direction to be filled in on one row (=flow). Information to be inserted: Direction: incoming / outgoing Country of Origin / Country of Destination Distance band Lenght of mobilities in months and/or days No of Participants Part E: Budget The application form automatically calculates the budget applied based on the activities (Part D.)

34 Application form Part F: Quality questions Filled in separately for each partner country Country-specific sections appear automatically based on the activities planned in the section C Four questions per country, following the assessment criteria Space 5000 characters / question (approx. A4) Answers must cover both the applicant HEI as well as Partner Country HEIs involved Partner HEIs must be listed in the application PICs for Partner HEIs inserted, if known at the application stage

36 Inter-institutional agreements Cooperation must be based on inter-institutional agreements Template with minimum requirements available on CIMO website Inter-institutional agreements not required at the application stage, but cooperation arrangements should be discussed in detail before applying must be signed after award decision, before any mobility activities take place Inter-institutional agreements include quality requirements for the cooperation Targeted especially for Partner country HEIs (Programme country HEIs already committed to these requirements in Erasmus Charter for Higher Education ECHE) Partner country HEIs need a PIC (=Participant Identification Code) before mobilities start -> Information to Mobility Tool declared PIC = legal entity form not needed

39 1/4: Relevance (30p) 30 p "Explain why the planned mobility project is relevant to the internationalisation strategy of the higher education institutions involved (both in the Programme and Partner Country). Justify the proposed type(s) of mobility (students and/or staff)." Explain why you want to foster mobility Explain the preference given to a certain region/country Explain why the mobility project is relevant to your institution's and Partner institution(s) internationalisation strategies and reinforces the capacities and international scope of the participant organisations Justification for choise of mobility flows: Try to distinguish the specific aims for choosing mobility of students and/or staff In case of new cooperation agreements, also: Explain why building cooperation with a new region/country is relevant for all the institutions involved

40 2/4: Quality of the cooperation arrangements (30 p) 30 p "Detail your previous experience of similar projects with higher education institutions in this Partner Country, if any, and explain how, for the planned mobility project, responsibilities, roles and tasks will be defined in the Interinstitutional Agreement." Explain the division of competences which has been agreed with your partner, as outlined in the Inter-institutional Agreement Who: offers which courses, provide support for visa/accommodation, selects participants and is responsible for evaluation What are the responsibilities of students/staff Detail how/if the finances will be split between you and your partner (OS) Explain how communication channels will work between you and your partner Make sure the financial and operational capacity to carry out these activities Explain previous experience in similar mobility projects and mention existence of previous or running cooperation agreements In case of new partnerships: Explain how previous international cooperation experience will be used to develop new partnerships Provide information about your institution's experience in implementing credit mobility in general

41 3/4: Quality of project design and implementation (20 p.) "Present the different phases of the mobility project and summarise what partner organisations plan in terms of selection of participants, the support provided to them and the recognition of their mobility period (in particular in the Partner Country). Bear in mind that certain flows may not be eligible. Please consult your National Agency's website to know which limitations apply." IMPORTANT WARNING: If your National Agency supports first and second cycle outgoing student mobility to countries in regions 6, 7, 8, 10 and 11 (see Programme Guide), make sure that you indicate in the box below how many students you plan to send at each study level (short, first, second or third cycle) and the total Duration for all participants (month and extra days) under each study level. 20 p

Before, During & After the mobility period: preparation, implementation and follow-up the completeness and quality of arrangements Give an indicative timeline for each activity Selection of participants Equal opportunities, social equity, participation of disadvantaged persons Support & information Accommodation, language training, cultural integration activities, Learning Agreements, visas, insurance etc. Recognition ECTS or other mechanisms Specify the study level of student mobilities Crucially important for DCI- and EDF regions Please also not the additional annex to be included in case of outgoing BA and MA level student mobility to DCI or EDF countries

43 4/4: Impact and dissemination (20 p.) 20 p "Explain the desired impact of the mobility project on participants, beneficiaries, partner organisations and at local, regional and national levels. Describe the measures which will be taken to disseminate the results of the mobility project at faculty and institution levels, and beyond where applicable, in both the Programme and Partner Countries." Explain the impact and outcomes of the mobility project on the different stakeholders, at local/regional/national level, including in the Partner Country also after project lifetime Describe planned dissemination activities, channels for dissemination as well as beneficiaries Describe the strategy for monitoring and evaluating the outcomes The stated impact should be relative to the number and type of activities planned
