6 Background of the Centre With the support of Hospital Authority and Department of Health, the Centre was established by the Hong Kong Tuberculosis, Chest and Heart Diseases Association in June 2003.

7 Objectives of the Centre

8 Objectives of the Centre To provide health education and health promotion services, particularly on tuberculosis, chest, heart diseases, community health and anti-smoking activities. To strengthen the HK TB Association s links with other regional and international professional organizations. To enhance health knowledge of the community and to promote the maintenance of a healthy lifestyle for all. To promote community participation and shared responsibility in the planning and organizing of primary health care services.

46 Background Hong Kong SKH Lady MacLehose Centre NGO providing integrated social welfare services in Kwai Chung, Tsing Yi and Tsuen Wan. In 1994, it established Community Health as the direction of our development and set up the Community Health Promotion Centre for the implementation of the service.

47 Background The objectives of the centre is to provide primary health care, disease prevention and rehabilitation services. To render health education activities and support community health development in Kwai Chung, Tsing Yi and Tsuen Wan.
