3 FACULTY Marijane H. Armbruster, RHIA Ambruster is the executive director of revenue cycle clinical operations and health information management for Clarian Health Partners in Indianapolis. Her current role includes leadership of a multi-location HIM department comprised of 170 FTEs. Cindy Basham, MHA, BSN, CPC, CCS Basham has extensive experience relating to coding and billing of both physician and hospital services. Prior to joining HCPro, Inc. in Marblehead, MA, she worked for a large California hospital system as a compliance auditor. Basham s clinical experience as an RN includes intensive inpatient cardiovascular surgery and emergency room patient care. Gloryanne Bryant, BS, RHIA, RHIT, CCS With more than 25 years of experience in the health information management (HIM) profession, Bryant currently is the corporate director of coding HIM compliance for Catholic Healthcare West in San Francisco. She has the charge of developing, implementing, setting and maintaining systemwide coding policies, creating an internal coding compliance auditing, and monitoring team and process. Jean S. Clark, RHIA Clark is the service line director for health information and accreditation services at Roper St. Francis Healthcare in Charleston, SC. She also serves as the system s accreditation coordinator. At Roper St. Francis Healthcare, Clark is responsible for all HIM services, the clinical documentation program (which she started in 2005), and Joint Commission and other regulatory compliance. Wendy DeVreugd, RN, FNP DeVreugd is the senior director of case management at the West Group in Orange County, CA (West/Midwest Regions, 12 states, 44 facilities) for the Kindred Healthcare LTAC hospital system. Currently, she is helping to implement a clinical documentation improvement team across all its facilities. Colleen Garry, RN, BS Garry is the clinical documentation manager for the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) in Charleston, SC. She implemented and managed the CDI program at MUSC since its creation in Garry has a varied back ground in nursing with more than 16 years work experience as a critical care nurse, transplant coordinator, ESRD educator, and outpatient program director. Robert S. Gold, MD Dr. Gold is the CEO of DCBA, Inc. in Atlanta, and has more than 40 years of experience as a physician, medical director, and consultant. He has worked as a consultant in the fields of managed care medicine, locum tenens, home health, hospital accreditation and licensure, and most notably over the past 15 years, in education of physicians, nurses and HIM professionals regarding documentation, coding, and billing accuracy for healthcare services. Pam Lovell, MBA, RN Lovell is the corporate senior director of case management services and health information management for the hospital division of Kindred Healthcare in Louisville, KY. She supports the case management and health information management programs of Kindred s 84 long-term acute care facilities in 26 states. Shannon E. McCall, RHIA, CPC, CCS McCall has extensive experience with coding for both physician and hospital services. Prior to joining HCPro, Inc. in Marblehead, MA, she worked for Per-Se Technologies in Alpharetta, GA, a national medical practice management company, where her duties included serving as instructor for Per-Se s in-house coding training and certification program. Lena N. Wilson, RHIA, CCS Wilson is the HIM operations manager of the clinical documentation improvement program (CDIP) and inpatient coding at Clarian Health Partners in Indianapolis. In her current role, she is responsible for the CDIP at Clarian s three facilities in downtown Indianapolis. Heather Taillon, RHIA Since 2005, Taillon has been manager of coding compliance at St. Francis Hospital in Beech Grove, IN. In that role, she has assisted with the implementation of document imaging systems, developed a home coding program, and has provided oversight of the hospital s clinical documentation program.
