1 2018 Summer Symposium: Health Theme Pre-Symposium Preparation The overarching theme of Migration, the City and University applies with equal force to all the cities within our WC2 Network. The city is the locus on migration and universities. Researchers and graduate students have a social responsibility to the city of which they are an integral part. With this theme, we will be identifying and discovering the intersecting challenges of migration and integration. To address this year s theme of migration, we invite graduate students to review attached articles on culturally responsive care in preparation for a symposium. We ask that students reflect on the meaning of culturally responsive care in relation to their own geographical and professional contexts and prepare a brief (5 min) talk exploring culturally responsive care from their specific context. We will discuss the nuances of culturally responsive care during our workshop on Tuesday afternoon.
