1 IUPUI Nursing Mothers Room Locations Engineering/Technology Room 130A Availability: M-F, 7:00am 11:00pm Sat., 7:00am 9:00pm Sun., 8:00am 9:00pm The nursing mothers room in the Engineering and Technology building (723 W. Michigan St.) is a separate room located inside the women s restroom near the east doors on the Michigan Street side. Enter the restroom and approach the room with the yellow door. Enter the code 1156#. Slide the sign that is on the right side of the door and/or move the sign that hangs on the inside of the door to the outside of the door, so that other nursing mothers will know the room is occupied. After you re done, move the sign back to the inside knob, slide back the sign outside the door, turn off the lights and make sure the room is locked. The room has a vinyl love seat (for easy cleaning/sanitation), lockers (bring your own lock, put a label with your first name and initial on the back of the lock and let me know which locker you re using), paper towels, a trash can, a coat rack, sanitizing wipes (important to use if cleaning up spills), two small tables and a bulletin board (on which you can post your baby s photo). We reserve the right to remove the lock/contents of the locker if we don t have a current user s agreement on file. There is a baby changing station near the sinks in the restroom. If the room is in need of cleaning or supplies, contact Charlotte Mahin at University Library, Room 3115J Availability: check for hours of operation University Library, located at 755 W. Michigan Street. Access to this room is by JagTag only which must be programmed in advance of use. The room is equipped with a comfortable chair, places to set the pump on, electric outlets, a lamp, an internet connection, paper towels and wet wipes (important to use if cleaning up a spill). The room is in a quiet area of the building. For arranging access to the nursing mothers room in University Library or if it s in need of cleaning or supplies, contact Teresa McCurry at or tmccurry@iupui.edu.
2 Lockefield Village, Room LV 3337 Availability: M-F, 8:00-5:00 Go to Lockefield Village at 980 Indiana Avenue. After entering, take hallway on left and then veer left and enter Human Resources Administration. Go to reception desk on right and ask for Nursing Mothers Room key. After you have shown ID and the reception desk staff is able to find you on the list of those who have completed a Nursing Mothers Room User Agreement, you will be given the key to LV LV 3337 is a separate room on the third floor of Lockefield. As you leave the HRA area, go back to the elevators you passed earlier and take to third floor. Get off of elevator and go right, then take left hallway and it s the second door on right. The room is equipped with a nice reclining chair and ottoman, a small table, a sink, a bulletin board (on which you can post your baby s photo), paper towels, Clorox wipes (important to use for cleaning up spills) and coat hooks. If supplies are missing from the room, it needs cleaning, etc. please let Charlotte Mahin ( or ramseyc@iupui.edu ) know. When done, leave the room as you found it, turn off the lights and relock the door. Return the key to the Human Resources reception desk, LV1156. Cavanaugh Hall, Room 327 Availability: M-F, 8:00am 5:00pm There is a nursing mother s room in room 327 for staff, students, and faculty. R3 Availability: 24/7 for SOM employees only There is a nursing mothers room in R3 for the use of School of Medicine employees. Please contact Kim Burrows at (317) or kburrows@iupui.edu for the specific location of the room and how to access it.
3 Multicultural Center (Taylor Hall) Availability: M-F, 8:00am 7:00pm (The Center is closed on weekends, however, if a mother has already been given access via swipe key entry, the building/room can be accessed) To use this room, register in room 115 of the Multicultural Center (815 W. Michigan St.). After you register and things are set up with your ID, you can use your ID to enter the door to the nursing mothers room. The room is equipped with seating, a sink, an electrical outlet, paper towels, and a bulletin board (on which you can post your baby s photo). Gatch Hall (formerly called the Clinical Building), Room 480 The Gatch Hall (Clinical Building) nursing mothers room is located at 541 N. Clinical Drive. Take the outside stairs up to the 2 nd floor, take the elevators to the 4 th floor, and stop at CL 459 (on the right) to gain access to the room. The room is equipped with a washable chair, electrical outlet, reading materials, bulletin board (on which you can post your baby s photo), Lysol wipes (important to use in cleaning up a spill) and coat hook. Please lock the door when the room is in use. When done, leave the room as you found it, turn off the lights and let someone in CL 459 know that you are done so that the room can be locked again. School of Nursing, Room 207 Availability: M-F, 6:00am 10:00pm Sat, 7:30am 5:30pm The School of Nursing, located at 1111 Middle Drive. The room is equipped with table and chairs, bookcase, several electrical outlets, a bulletin board (on which you can post your baby s photo), and a refrigerator. The room locks from the inside and will display in use when it is locked and vacant when it is not. The room signage to the left of the door also has an occupied/unoccupied slide sign. School of Dentistry There is a nursing mothers room in the School of Dentistry for the use of IUSD employees, students and patients. Call or for location and how to access.
4 Coleman Hall, Room 016 (lower level) The Coleman Hall nursing mothers room is located at 1140 W. Michigan St. The room is equipped with a washable chair, a small table, sink, an electrical outlet and a bulletin board (on which you can post your baby s photo). Please lock the door when the room is in use. When done, leave the room as you found it and turn off the lights. If the room is in need of cleaning or supplies, call Charlotte at HITS Building Availability: This room is restricted by card access for those that work in the building. If you have programmed access, you can use the room any time. The Nursing Mothers Room in the HITS building, 410 W. 10 th, is located on the first floor on the north side of the building just past the elevator. It has an electrical outlet, a comfortable place to sit, and a kitchenette, with refrigerator. To gain access, notify Don Burgess (deburges@iupui.edu) of your need to use the facility. Access is granted for six months, but you can request that access be extended. Law School, Room 267A Availability: M-F, 8:00-5:00 The Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law, 530 W. New York Street, is available for nursing mothers faculty, staff, students and visitors. The room has two lockable doors, a comfortable chair, a counter, an electrical outlet, paper towels and Clorox/Lysol wipes (important to use to clean up spills). Please turn out the lights and unlock the doors after using room. AO Building Availability: M-F, 8:00am 5:00pm 355 Lansing Street has a small curtained area in the west women s restroom that anyone who needs it can use. 5 Campus Center, Room 021 (Theater Level) The Campus Center is located at 420 University Blvd and is accessible whenever the campus center is open. Campus Center Summer Hours MON FRI: 7 a.m. 6 p.m. SAT: 8 a.m. 5 p.m. SUN: Noon 5 p.m.* Campus Center Regular Hours MON SAT: 7:00 a.m. 11:00 p.m. SUN: 11:00 a.m. 11:00 p.m. Anyone with a Jagtag can stop by the Information Desk and get the room unlocked for them to use.
