In addition, a variety of over-the-counter (OTC) items are available for purchase by students, faculty, and staff at competitive prices. 5 STUDENT SATISFACTION SURVEY RESULTS The Student Health Clinic conducted a satisfaction survey from October 2015 through December 2015 and received a total of 841 responses from students during this time. 98% satisfaction with the appearance and cleanliness of the facility 94% 91% 91% 88% satisfied with nursing staff satisfied with staff's concern for student questions and worries overall satisfaction with Student Health Clinic satisfied with physicians, physician assistants, or nurse practitioners ACCOMPLISHMENTS & CONTRIBUTIONS Successful reaccreditation by the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care (AAAHC). This year saw a focused effort to prepare the Student Health Clinic for the AAAHC triennial accreditation survey, which took place April 25-26, A two-year COLA/CLIA certification was awarded to the UNI Clinic Laboratory in December The Student Health Clinic became a sub-contractor with the Black Hawk County Health Department to provide free and confidential HIV testing and counseling for students meeting eligibility. An extensive Request for Proposal was developed and submitted to public vendors for a new electronic health record system to enhance the proficiency and efficiency of service delivery processes and documentation of medical/behavioral health records. Three vendors applied and the decision was made to contract with eclinical Works, a leading medical software system. The Student Health Clinic was responsible in closely communicating with Black Hawk County Health Department throughout the fiscal year regarding positive cases of the Mumps on campus and surrounding communities to assist in treatment, education, prevention and support of monitoring the communicable disease to avoid further cases. It was evident throughout the survey that this organization focuses on the needs of the patients it serves, starting with an approach of respect, consideration and dignity. That staff is constantly aware of the unique challenges faced by young adults in an academic environment. This is reflected in the services provided. Reported by AAAHC Surveyor
