3 Area of Strategic Focus - Violence Against Women We will take the lead in addressing violence against women as a health issue. Objective: Be the leading hospital in the prevention of, and response to violence as a women s health issue.
4 PROJECT BACKGROUND Piloted across two hospitals The Women s Women s Emergency Centre Bendigo Health Emergency, Women s Health and Mental Health Scope: Focus on violence against women & intimate partner violence
5 PROJECT BACKGROUND We developed and began implementing the Strengthening Hospital Responses model in 2015 It is an implementation framework using project management approach Tool kit outlining model published in late 2015 & second edition available online August 2016 Since January 2016 working with Goulburn Valley, East Wimmera, Royal Children s Hospital and Western Health to implement/improve model
