2 Introduction Registrar 'Staff: Peak you Performance with Action Plans. Notre Dame University is a non-profit Lebanese Catholic institution of higher education founded in 1987 which adopts the American system of education and is dedicated to academic excellence. The purpose of this paper is to motivate the Registrar s office staff to peak performance, individually prepared action plans would help them to set goals, to prioritize the measurable objectives and to set target dates. Based on the results achieved, a staff performance appraisal form may be filled in for everyone.

3 Benefits: The main benefits of attending this session are as follows : 1- To motivate Registrar staff members to peak performance through sharing them with our experience at NDU- Lebanon. 2- To acquaint them with action Planning, as this helps to identify guidelines for their plan and the resources required, and to set up standards and times for performance. Examples: 3- Sketching the action plans of Registrar, Associate and Assistant Registrar, Academic Records Officer, Academic Service Officer and Archive s officer, and familiarizing colleagues with a performance appraisal form model and its proper use.

4 Supportive Examples Is it enough for us to only perform our assigned job? Or do we need to plan, organize and participate in the University s objective to prepare a new generation of leaders (staff and students) and to strive for service excellency? I will start with examples of action plans for the Associate Registrar and other staff and then leave the floor to our Registrar: Mrs. Lea Eid to conclude with her experience and opinion.

25 Summary This experience has contributed to confirm our self-confidence and capacity to perform well the duties assigned in our job description, to enable us to improve our work and make it distinctive, and to ensure progress in using new techniques and services to be provided to the students. It has become a trend for every staff member to work on a six months or yearly action plan. The first result was a feeling of self-satisfaction, good results in the staff evaluation and of the promotion of our Assistant to Registrar for a higher position in the office.
