Influenza season is fast approaching, expected to hit in full force around November in Canada. Researchers found the virus appeared to rear its ugly head first in Alberta and British Columbia, then Ontario, reaching the Maritimes last. Weather conditions are id the driving force for the influenza season and its pattern. Researchers also found that that seasonal influenza tends to arise earlier in years when there is a substantial period of low temperature and/or low absolute humidity in the early fall. 'If you know you have low temperatures and humidity in the early autumn, our study suggests that it is more likely that you are going to have an earlier influenza epidemic, so there is greater value in vaccinating people earlier. Interesting Facts regarding Reading! Children hear and understand stories long before they can read. Hearing Age and Reading Age are two different things. Learning begins at birth. A child 0-3 years of age love animated sounds from their Parents, Grand-parents and older siblings. This is a key & integral part in developing verbal skills. New words and phrases are learned through hearing them for the first time and learning their meaning from caregiver s. Every child is different, there is no such thing as One Size Fits All. The key is to find stories children enjoy.
