PERIOP CHALLENGE Wednesday, March 28 We know periop nurses are smart as well as competitive, which is why the Periop Challenge is back in 2018 with new questions but the same great format. Attendees will be divided into four teams. This fast-paced session will pit your team against other teams in the room. Cartoons, questions, and real-life situations will be presented, and each team will have a chance to respond. Listen carefully, as there are sure to be some twists and turns.

Four sessions will be live streams and four will be recordings of past sessions. 3. STREAM ON-DEMAND Catch up on sessions you missed in your hotel or when you return home through our new on-demand streaming. Streaming will be available for concurrent education sessions and will include voice recordings and slides of the presentations. Posters will focus on clinical improvement and innovation, research, design/concept, and evidence-based practice. RAPID FIRE NEW! It will be easy to stay engaged at these new, fast-paced presentations. Sessions will consist of multiple speakers presenting on the same topic but with different angles. Speakers will be given a predetermined number of minutes to discuss the topic and five minutes for follow-up questions before moving on to the next presenter. 14 EDUCATION INFORMATION ACCREDITATION STATEMENT AORN is accredited as a provider of continuing nursing education by the American Nurses Credentialing Center s Commission on Accreditation. AORN is provider-approved by the California Board of Registered Nursing, Provider Number CEP Check with your state board of nursing for acceptability of education sessions for re-licensure. EARN CONTACT HOURS AORN will award contact hours for attendance at sessions that contain continuing nursing education content. To earn contact hours for a session, participants must attend at least 90% of the session and complete an online evaluation to verify attendance. Contact hours are calculated based on a 60-minute contact hour (60 minutes = 1 contact hour). CST AND CFA This continuing education program will be submitted to the Association of Surgical Technologists, Inc., for consideration as continuing education for the Certified Surgical Technologist, Certified Surgical First Assistant, and Associate members of AST.
