3 Instructions for admission to MA in Development Studies Programme for the session Admission of selected candidates will be done on 19 th June Pass Certificate of Qualifying Examination. 2. Memorandum of Marks of all Examination starting from HSC onwards (Candidates whose results are awaited will be given provisional admission at their own risk and must produce the qualifying marks by 30 th September 2018 failing which their admission will be cancelled and all fees paid will be forfeited). 3. Course completion Certificate from the Principal/Registrar of the University /Institute in case result is awaited as per Annexure - I. 4. College Leaving/ Migration Certificate from the Institution last attended. 5. Conduct Certificate from the Institution last attended. 6. Three Pass port size photographs (coloured). 7. Applicants claiming reservation under SC/ST/OBC quota (eligibility as per declaration by GOI) are required to produce valid certificate as detailed below at the time of admission failing which their candidature will be treated as General category: a) The OBC certificate should have been issued on or after b) Candidates claiming reservation under SC/ST quota are required to produce SC/ST certificate as prescribed by the Govt. of India. c) Candidates claiming reservation under OBC quota are required to produce OBC certificate (Annexure-II) and undertaking (Annexure-III) in the prescribed format for admission to academic programmes (and not the format for employment/recruitment). Admission fee: Draft of Rs.53250/- (for SC/ST Rs. 45,750/-) (including Mess Dues) to be made in favour of Director, NIT Rourkela payable at any bank in Rourkela. NOTES If a student is removed or he withdraws/leaves the Institute in the mid-session without completing the entire programme, all fees paid including the caution deposit will be forfeited by the institute. Mess advance may be refunded after deduction of dues, if any. (Under compelling reasons, if a student wants to stay outside the hostel he/she needs to take permission from Dean (Academic), NIT Rourkela in a standard form available in Academic Office. However, at the time of admission the candidate has to pay full fee as mentioned above and the amount refundable if any towards mess dues will be refunded/ adjusted at a later date. Please note that N.I.T. Rourkela is a fully residential institute and permission to stay outside is given only when a student has passed from a college in Rourkela and/ or stayed with his/ her parents.
