We began as the home of surgical training in Ireland and now our College reflects the diversity of healthcare professions worldwide. RCSI continues to be home to the National Surgical Training Centre and is responsible for delivering excellence in surgical education and training, setting and supporting the highest possible standards in surgical practice. At all times we act in the interest of patients and the quality of their care.

Close links have been established with local schools, as well as youth, community and sports groups to encourage and facilitate third level participation and enhance life chances for those traditionally underrepresented at third level. Through its Recreation Education And Community Health (REACH) Programme, RCSI promotes and supports lifelong health and education in the local communities of southeast inner-city Dublin.
