2 1 Application This uniform policy applies to all Buller Ski Lifts (BSL) team members, including employees, contractors and volunteers. Buller Ski Lifts means BSL and any of its related entities. 2 Purpose The appearance of team members reflects the image of BSL and has a significant impact on the way we are viewed by guests, team members and the general public. Uniforms are provided to team members in order to make them readily identifiable to guests and other mountain team members. BSL aims to provide our team members with comfortable and professional uniforms that project a good image and comply with Occupational Health and Safety guidelines. 3 Policy BSL requires a high standard of personal presentation and grooming. A uniform will be supplied to all front-line team members and Supervisors and must be worn at all times during actual work hours, each trading day (including weekends), and in accordance with the following policy. Current uniforms must always be worn when on duty and should be kept well maintained. All aspects of the assigned uniform must be worn and under no circumstances, is a superseded uniform to be worn (i.e. outdated logo). In addition, team members should always be dressed neatly and appropriately for the type of work they perform. Uniforms will be supplied to relevant team members and will remain the property of BSL, however full responsibility for maintenance and cleanliness will remain with the team member, including exchange of damaged uniforms. Supervisors/managers are responsible for ensuring that these guidelines are met. The standards apply to all team members no matter which department and no matter their employment status. In the event that a team members arrives for work in a way that is not in line with this policy, on the first occasion their Manager will advise them that they are not dressed or groomed appropriately to perform their duties and they will be given the opportunity to address the issues immediately, and if necessary, to return home to change (the time to travel and change will not be paid). Any further incidents will be considered in breach of company policy and further action will be taken according to BSL Disciplinary and Warning Procedure. Any deliberate breaches of this policy could result in disciplinary action being taken against the team member. All team members that have guest facing roles have a need for inner wear garments that readily identifies the team member and department to guests regardless of the layer of clothing they are wearing. Team Members are generally required to purchase or provide their own inner wear uniforms. Team members that do not have guest facing roles are not required to wear uniforms. Uniforms may be provided to certain team members in non-guest facing roles provided there is sufficient stock and they satisfy the training requirements for the uniform provided. Page 2 of 12
