4 A Guide to Climate Change The climate change guide covers: What is climate change and how it will affect you? What is causing climate change? What efforts are being made to tackle climate change? What is a carbon footprint? What you can do to help tackle climate change Identify at least one action that you will take to tackle climate change and ask your friends, colleagues and family to do the same?

5 CCF projects in your area There are 110 currently funded CCF projects across the Scotland. Find projects in your local area via the interactive map on the CCF website: Search by local authority Search by theme of project inaction

8 Climate Challenge Fund project criteria All projects must meet four criteria to be eligible for funding 1. Community Community must be at the heart of the decision-making process of the project and projects must be designed and delivered by communities themselves. 2. Carbon Reduction The project should lead to a measurable reduction in local carbon emissions through the activities it delivers. 3. Sustainable Legacy The project should deliver a low carbon legacy in its community, with outcomes (and/or behaviours) that continue after the project is completed. 4. Improved climate literacy The project should deliver an increased understanding of climate change in its community and help the community move to low carbon living.

9 Additionality Current CCF Grant Recipients (in receipt of funding for 2018/19 only) and previous CCF Grant Recipients should demonstrate additionality in their applications. New applications should not be for the same project activities in the same community. The new application should: Extend the reach of activities to new communities Include new activities Achieve further reductions in local carbon emissions
