2 Smart Cities are new urban ecosystems able to maximize social, environmental and economic wealth in cities: Thanks to the intensive use of Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs) that facilitate information gathering from different interoperable systems, in order to make better decisions and promote energy efficiency in cities. 1
