3 SSP Timeline Activity Date Educating for Careers Conference March 4 6, End-of-Year (EOY) Report April 20, 2018 All required SSP course curriculum posted and visible on CTE Online SSP Group Page April 20, 2018 Cohorts 3 and 4 notified of funding status (Grant Award Notifications [AO-400] or June 2018 Letters of Regret Seventy-five percent of funding disbursed to sites July End-of-Project (EOP) Financial Expenditure Report July 31, 2018 Final twenty-five percent of SSP funds disbursed to sites After EOP is approved and all program requirements are met EOY Report Guidelines The Guidelines section of the EOY Report follows the SSP Timeline. This is essential reading! This section contains two pages of guidance, submission requirements, funding, and contact information. 4 As stated in the Program Requirements in the RFA: Grant recipients may not make any significant changes to the SSP, as it was described in the original grant application, unless a request is submitted in writing and approved by the CDE. The request must be submitted to the CDE and receive approval prior to implementation of the proposed changes. 4
5 Section I: Progress during Fidelity of Planning Activities 1. List the course titles of the two SSP courses that were approved in the original planning grant application Be sure to attach the required written approval if any significant changes were made to the SSP as originally approved. Section I: Progress during Fidelity of Planning Activities 2. Identify the planning and professional development activities discussed in the narrative sections in your grant application and timeline that were completed in and discuss their impact on the development of the SSP. Explain why activities may not have been completed or why they might have been rescheduled. Section II: Implementation Plan for Curriculum Development 1. Identify the course title of the SSP course and the curricular components (e.g. CTE Online Course Outlines, projects, rubrics, answer keys, instructional videos, unit plans, assessments, lesson plans, etc.) that will be developed and posted during the grant period. Be sure to identify the estimated number of each curricular component to be developed for each course. 5
6 Section II: Implementation Plan for Curriculum Development For example, Game Design B will consist of six units approximately three weeks long. A comprehensive final exam and/or project, including rubrics/answer keys, will be developed for each semester. Each unit will contain approximately 6 10 lessons and include a project and corresponding rubric. A unit test and answer key will be developed for each unit. Various additional curricular components may be identified. Section II: Implementation Plan for Curriculum Development 2. Who will design the new, innovative curriculum during the grant period? The team must include at least two teachers from the school Identify any outside expert(s) who have been, or will be, consulted to ensure that what is proposed in the SSP represents current practices and theory in the targeted area of study. Section II: Implementation Plan for Professional Development 1. Identify the SSP teachers at the school and their duties within the SSP. Only list the current teachers who will be actively participating in the planning, implementation, and curriculum development activities for the SSP during the grant period Two teachers from the SSP school site must be listed These may be the same teachers identified in the previous section. 6

What are the major professional development needs to ensure that the SSP teachers are adequately prepared to plan and develop the SSP during the grant period? 8 Section III: Grant Budget and Budget Narrative Budget 1. In budget categories 1000, 5000, and 5200, clearly and thoroughly discuss the specific relationship between all identified expenditures and the program goals and grant requirements of the SSP. Limit your discussion to the use of SSP funding only. 8
