DESCRIPTION OF EFFORTS a) Citymeals-on-Wheels provides weekend, holiday and emergency meals to homebound elderly in New York City. The organizations delivers to frail elderly in all five boroughs; Brooklyn, Manhattan, Queens, Staten Island and the Bronx. b) Between 1/15/12 and 1/26/12, CMOW delivered 9,583 Emergency Food Packages (EFP) containing 114,996 shelf stable meals in Brooklyn & Queens. These meals are to be used in times of emergency. c) The weekend before the storm CMOW began delivering boxes of 3 shelf stable meals in response to NYC Department for the Aging, FEMA and 311 call requests to some of the hardest hit areas such as Far Rockaway, Coney Island and ManhattanÆs Lower East Side. Citymeals continued to make deliveries weeks after the storm. Between 1/27/212 and 11/13/12 a total of 21,431 boxes with 64,294 were delivered. d) On 11/2/212 CMOW also paid for 22 meals to be delivered to VISIONS Services for the Blind. e) On 11/6/12 In-Kind goods were distributed to Senior Centers located in Brooklyn, Queens and Manhattan, additionally some items were also distributed to Long Island Cares. f) Two weeks after the storm CMOW resumed delivery of its EFP (Emergency Food Package with 12 shelf stable meals) to the Bronx, Staten Island and Manhattan. An additional 7,731 boxes, with 92,772 meals were delivered. 1/27/212 No 11/15/212 No Manhattan, Queens, Brooklyn, Staten Island, Bronx Food, Non-food relief supplies, Grants to other organizations
