9 Start Date Once you have all your financial documents and scope/budget changes approved by NFWF, you may request to sign your contract and begin your grant project. Once you are ready to go, if you would like to back-date your project start date, you may do so up to 1 year prior to the date you sign your contract, or not before August 8, 2013, whichever is latest. If your project is not quite ready to hit the ground running, you can wait up to a year from the announcement (6/16/14) to sign your grant agreement and start your project. End Date You have 2 years from the start date of your project to complete work and submit final reports. Match Match can only be counted if it is spent within the start date and end date of your grant project.

10 Your Grants Administrator is: Candace Leong By now we hope to have your revised budgets and most current financial documents. Candace will generate grant agreements and send notifications with instructions about how to access the prepared agreement in the Easygrants system. s will arrive via so check your SPAM and don t filter the address! IMPORTANT: To view and print your grant agreement in EasyGrants, use Internet Explorer as your browser AND be sure to disable the pop-up blocker. Once the agreement has been reviewed, please mail two signed hard copies to Candace for counter-signature. She will return one fully-executed copy for your records.

11 Programmatic and Financial Reports will be required at least every six months. Easygrants Reporting Instructions: 1. Sign in to your Easygrants homepage. 2. On the My Tasks tab, all incomplete and missing reports will be listed in chronological order by due date. 3. Click on the report you wish to complete and follow the instructions.

12 Funding requests can be made via the Payment Request task in EasyGrants You may request funds in advance upon the execution of your grant agreement, provided the advance is approved by NFWF s CFO, you demonstrate an imminent need for the funds, and you provide justification and a timeline for expected expenditure For reimbursements, detail the activities for which you incurred expenses. Both options can be combined on the same invoice as long as it is explicit. Follow all guidance in applicable OMB Circulars No disbursements will be made if reports are overdue or missing. Note that 10% of the award is held in reserve until all previous reports and final reports are submitted and approved.

15 Quality Assurance Project Plans (QAPP) Any projects that are collecting data are required to complete a QAPP prior to when data collection begins. We have a template available to get you started and will contract with a technical assistance provider to give you with assistance in completing this requirement. Quality Assurance Statements Projects that will undertake a minimal level of environmental engineering, secondary data use, or GIS activities may simply require that Quality Assurance Terms and Conditions be inserted into the grant agreement. Grantees agree to these terms upon signing the grant agreement.
