Total Requested Amounts: Fiscal Year 2002 Years Following Fiscal Year 2002 $ 24,000 $ 24, Executive Summary Project Description (Three or four sentences) Students are required to use the electronic resources in the and to receive training on these resources. Last year, the received replacement computers, however, a three-year rolling replacement of equipment is necessary. 4. Project Description This proposal is a continuation of last years proposal to replace ten computers located in the public service alcove that accesses GIL, the online catalog, GALILEO, the statewide network and other electronic resources and in the s computer labs. Under the technology fee equipment replacement policy, we will replace 1/3 of our thirty workstations each year. 5. Relevance to Regents Guidelines This proposal is consistent with the first enabling paragraph in the technology fee guidelines: [1] Technology fee revenues should be used primarily for the direct benefit of students to assist them in meeting the educational objectives of their academic programs. Additionally, the following guideline is relevant: [4] Technology fee revenues may be used for training of students and, to a lesser extent, staff and faculty.

Additionally, our Technology Strategic Plan states that, The College will encourage students to use technology appropriately in the process of learning law by providing networked workstations and carrels for students use 7.Impact on Students Served The College of serves a student body of 600 students each year. However, the is open to 24,000 university students and many graduate and undergraduate courses require students to use the. The GIL Alcove is accessible to all faculty and students.
