1 "Climate Change: We Are All Responsible" Call for proposals for the Week of Climate Change Solutions I - INTRODUCTION The world today lives an environmental challenge to lower greenhouse gases emissions in a context of population growth requiring higher energy consumption. This is an essential stage for the survival of the planet. The year 2015 is key to take decisions and change habits for a low carbon future in the world. In this context, the Delegation of the European Union in Brazil, WWF-Brazil and the Fundação Planetaría of Rio de Janeiro in partnership with Prefeitura do Rio de Janeiro, the Brazilian Ministry of Environment, the EU Member States in Brazil and their cultural institutions will organize the event "Climate Change: We Are All Responsible", from 30 th October to 6 th of November 2015 in the Planetarium of Rio de Janeiro. The event will include technical conferences for experts from Brazil and the European Union and free activities open to the public with informative, cultural, recreational and interactive exhibits about the impacts of climate change, the solutions and opportunities. The Week of Climate Change Solutions will present exhibitions of solutions and new opportunities to improve the quality of people s lives through changes in lifestyle that lead to reduce carbon emissions and contribute to the mitigation of climate change and to increase the capacity to adapt to climate effects. 1.1 The themes of the Climate Solutions Week are: Water Energy Solid Waste Use of Land and Agriculture Urbanism and Urban Mobility Security and Climate

2 II - PURPOSE The purpose of this notice is to select projects that present solutions related to climate change and the six topics listed above in point 1.1. This notice is directed to individuals, organizations both private and public, who are interested in presenting their projects during the Climate Change Solutions Week. The projects may be composed of exhibitions, workshops, lectures, seminars, installations, solutions, products, projects, etc., providing their content is directly related to Climate Change and at least one of the topics listed in point 1.1. The activities, workshops and interventions will be part of the Week of Climate Change Solution that will take place in the Planetarium of Rio de Janeiro from 30 th October to 6 th November About 20 exhibitors / initiatives will be selected. Each exhibitor will receive logistical support for the installation of their work in the Planetarium, transportation to Rio de Janeiro and accommodation, and lunches during the event, which will be paid directly by the organisation of the event. In addition, an amount of R $ (one thousand and three hundred Brazilian reais) will be granted per project, as financial support for participation. III INSCRIPTION Registration is free and open to individuals, personal or legal entities, individually or as a representative of a group, collective or organisation. Each applicant may submit one or more projects. The project must be submitted by September with a description of the proposal and documentation according to the specifications mentioned hereafter. Proposals can be submitted by to somostodosresponsaveis@wwf.org.br, or by mail - registered or Sedex letter - stamped before 9 September 2015 and addressed to WWF-Brazil: Shis eql 6/8 Lago Sul, Conjunto E. Brasilia-DF In case the inscription is made online, all the documents need to be submitted in one with a maximum size of 3Mb (Mega bites). The file names should be

3 as follows: document type, followed by the project name and the name of the applicant. Ex: PROPOSAL_ TRANSPORTSIMULATOR _WWF-BRAZIL. In case the inscription is made by mail, the document should be delivered in separate envelopes (DOCUMENTS and PROPOSAL), properly sealed and placed in a single package, containing the registration form. The envelope shall be marked with the words "NOTICE CLIMATE CHANGE SOLUTIONS WEEK". The proponent is responsible for the shipping costs. Changes after the design is sent will not be accepted DOCUMENTATION OF LEGAL ENTITY: Registration in the National Register of Legal Entities (CNPJ) for Brazilian applicants; For European applicants, National Register of Legal Entities of the Member State Commercial registration, in the case of an individual company; Articles of incorporation, bylaws or articles of association in force, duly registered with the Commercial Registry, when it comes to commercial companies; Copy of the RG and CPF of the proprietor or legal representative of Legal Entities for Brazilian applicants; For the Europeans applicants: copy of Passport Declaration of knowledge and acceptance of the terms and conditions of this document (Appendix I) 3.2 DOCUMENTATION OF INDIVIDUAL PERSON: Copy of the RG and CPF of the legal person or representative of the group for Brazilian applicants; For the Europeans: copy of Passport Copy of proof of address; Declaration of knowledge and acceptance of the terms and conditions of this document (Appendix I) IV. PROPOSAL When signing up, the participant is fully responsible for all elements and any content of the used work in enrolled proposal. If there is transmission of works or third party content, the adequate notarized authorisation should be attached for

4 the release of copyrights, related rights, and/or third party proprietary rights,. For online registration, the signed documents must be scanned or digitally signed. If sending by post, the proposal should be presented in a single volume format, either through binding or in a stapled folder other method. 4.1 ITEMS OF THE PROPOSAL (FORM ANNEX II): Detailed description (release) of the proposed project; Synopsis up to characters ; Targeted public and age groups (if applicable); Internet links for material relative to the proposal such as video, audios, photos, website (optional); Clippings of the press and / or proposed promotional materials, artist, or group (optional) Technical file containing functions and names of those involved in the proposal; Minibiography or CV of the applicannt and of the other members of the proposal and the group, or collective, when applicable; Technical requirements; Features stand / desired structure (dimensions, shape, weight, space requirements); Cost of the project; Internet link, CD, DVD or USB with photos for publication, preferably in high resolution and definition (images at 300 DPI - dots per inch - Minimum size of pixels); V SELECTION CRITERIAS A jury composed by representatives of the European Union and WWF-Brazil, and directly involved with the event will be responsible for screening and selecting the proposals. It is important to emphasize that all the projects submitted must relate Climate Change and, at least one, of the six themes mentioned in point 1.1 and guarantee its quality and realisation.

5 The proposals will be evaluated and selected according to the following criteria: Interaction with the public Relevance to the thematic areas Potential for implementation and replication Link to the Brazilian and European context The requested amounts will be revised and, if the project is approved, the applicant will be contacted and may be asked to readjust the budget, according to the available funds. After evaluating all presented initiatives, the organisation team will provide the final results by by 30 th of September 2015 at the latest to all those who applied. VI SUPPORT The selected proposals will receive logistical support for the installation of their work in the Planetarium, transportation to Rio de Janeiro and accommodation, and lunches during the event, which will be paid directly by the organisation of the event.
