9 3.3 Strengthening public service and regulatory framework for wastewater and solid waste management 31 Wastewater and Solid Waste Management - Program North II UR Improvement of sewer systems, construction of intermediate pumping stations, construction of Wastewater Treatment Plants, solid waste management measures, institutional strengthening and capacity building in four provincial centers. Additional applied research conducted by Eawag looks at sustainable options for managing faecal sludge.
