Starr Investment Holdings is the investment holding company of Starr Companies, a global insurance investments organization founded in Starr s operating companies provide insurance products an specialty coverages across a broad spectrum of industries including aerospace and aviation, constructi marine and energy, as well as specialty health, workers comp and auto liability insurance.
2 This announcement marks the next step in an exciting journey for MultiPlan, said Mark Tabak, MultiP Chief Executive Officer. We will now have the long-term capital, strategic support and collective set o relationships to further grow our company and evolve our solutions in the rapidly-changing healthcare and beyond. Three MultiPlan Clients Awarded Texas Medicaid Contracts Three MultiPlan clients have been named recipients among the four contract awards for the Texas Hea Human Services Commission (HHSC) STAR+PLUS Medicaid Rural Service Area. Our clients, Amerigrou Spring, and United Healthcare used network composition data from our Texas True Choice Network (T their proposals and will use TTC to supplement their network coverage once the program goes live. STAR+PLUS is a Texas Medicaid managed care program for people eligible for both Medicaid and Medi HHSC is expanding the scope of services and the geographical areas covered by the current managed programs used by Texas STAR+PLUS. The start date for this expansion is September 1, MultiPlan Invests in Online Scheduling Company MultiPlan recently invested in DocASAP, a company offering an online scheduling application that allow providers to publish their patient schedules through a variety of online venues including payer sites, p sites, and online portals. We re excited about the value that DocASAP delivers to providers and its potential to help providers Attract New Patients by promoting your practice online and gaining access to the growing number o who search for doctors online. Improve Patient Satisfaction through ease of access with 24x7 online scheduling and timely appoin Reduce Scheduling Overhead by reducing call volume to your practice and freeing up time for your staff. We researched the use of online scheduling and found a high level of interest in the market for this typ functionality. As an investor, MultiPlan supports DocASAP with capital and operational assistance as it partner with providers and payers. Later this year, we will add DocASAP s online scheduling functional own provider search application at multiplan.com. We selected DocASAP because the company not onl an efficient and effective way for consumers to make appointments with healthcare providers, but also

5 Provider Search Results We recently introduced a new format to the search results screen of our online Provider Search. The n makes it easier to view results. MultiPlan Accepting Applications for Rural Health Outreach Grant We are pleased to announce MultiPlan s 19th annual Rural Health Outreach Grant, a program that is u the PPO industry. This year we have moved up the application period to February 28 April 30, The program provides financial grants to rural hospitals that participate in one or more of MultiPlan s n (MultiPlan, PHCS, HealthEOS, Beech Street, Texas True Choice, IHP, AMN, HMN, RAN) to help offer ne services, expand existing services, or reach new populations. Our broad guidelines encourage creativit accommodate the greatest possible variety of programs to address the unique healthcare needs of rur communities. This year we will award four grants of $7,500 each. 6 Medical Director With the evolution of Pain Management in healthcare and the increasing demand for qualified specialis area, MultiPlan has revised our credentialing requirements for this specialty. Recognizing that the Pain Management specialty is relatively new and a strict ABMS (American Board Specialties) certification pathway has restricted the panel of well-trained Pain Management specialists recently broadened the eligibility by adding ABPM (American Board of Pain Medicine) certification to ou acceptance criteria. Our current credentialing stance is, if a provider is ABMS certified in Anesthesia, Neurology, Psychiatry Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R), and has ABPM certification, we will qualify the provider a Management specialist. Although this will not extend eligibility to all ABPM certified physicians, it will increase the number of eligible Pain Management specialists participating in our networks. This broader definition will strengthen our panel of well qualified Pain Management specialists to help the growing number of patients with pain related conditions. ICD-10 Preparations Continue MultiPlan continues our preparations for the transition to ICD-10. We updated our systems and proced are currently testing with our clients to ensure we are able to receive and process their claims with IC codes. We will be ready to accept ICD-10 codes well in advance of the October 1, 2014 deadline.
