NextGen application version 5.6 and KBM version 7.9 are MU certified and will be the chosen upgrades for the Munson hosted practices. Anticipated to be released in January Target for upgrades is May-June 2011.
Computerized physician order entry (CPOE) of medications More than 30% of unique patients with at least one medication in their medication list seen by the EP have at least one medication order entered using CPOE eclinicalworks provides the ability to order medications through the Treatment window in the Progress Note, Order Sets, eclinisense, and Templates. These medications can then be e-prescribed, faxed, or printed through eclinicalworks. Core Measure 1

Generate and transmit permissible prescriptions electronically (erx) More than 40% of all permissible prescriptions written by the EP are transmitted electronically eclinicalworks is a Surescripts Solutions Provider, certified for submitting all available transaction types available for fully informed e-prescribing. This includes the ability to obtain eligibility, benefits and formulary information; access to aggregated medication history data available for the patient; submitting e- prescriptions and electronic refills to retail and mail-order pharmacies. Core Measure 2
Report a total of 6 ambulatory clinical quality measures to CMS (Medicare EHR Incentive Program) or States (Medicaid EHR Incentive Program) For 2011, provide aggregate numerator, denominator, and exclusions through attestation as discussed in section II(A)(3) of this final rule For 2012, electronically submit the clinical quality measures as discussed in section II(A)(3) of this final rule eclinicalworks provides MAQ (Meaningful Use Adoption Quality) Dashboards to showcase real time reports regarding core measures, menu measures, quality measures, user adoption, and much more. The data displays the aggregate denominator and numerator for each objective measure and clinical quality measure by provider. Core Measure 3
Implement one clinical decision support rule Implement one clinical decision support rule relevant to specialty or high clinical priority along with the ability to track compliance for that rule eclinicalworks includes the ability to monitor the care of patients and notify the provider of clinical priorities based upon the patient s medical record. The clinical decision support rule can be met with alerts and CDSS functionality. Core Measure 4
Provide patients with an electronic copy of their health information, upon request. More than 50% of all patients of the EP who request an electronic copy of their health information are provided it within three business days eclinicalworks provides patients immediate access to their PHR through the Patient Portal. Access is granted to web enabled patients. Core Measure 5
Provide clinical summaries for patient for each office visit. Clinical summaries provided to patients for more than 50% of all office visits within three business days eclinicalworks will provide the clinical summary based on CCD/CCR format. This information can easily be generated for print, or sent to the Patient Portal at the conclusion of the visit. Core Measure 6
Drug-drug and drugallergy interaction checks The EP has enabled this functionality for the entire EHR reporting period Drug-to-Drug and Drug-to- Allergy checks are performed real time at the time of prescribing based upon the patient s current medications and medication allergy list. In addition, the system also checks for any drug-disease contraindications. Core Measure 7
Enable a user to electronically record, modify, and retrieve patient demographic data including preferred language, gender, race, ethnicity, and date of birth. More than 50% of all unique patients seen by the EP have demographics recorded as structured data eclinicalworks provides ample fields to manage patient accounts. All meaningful use demographic mandatory fields (controlled by the administrator) are available in the Patient Demographics. Choosing and marking these fields as mandatory will ensure that your front desk is collecting the necessary data for meaningful use criteria. Core Measure 8

Maintain an up-to-date problem list of current and active diagnoses based on ICD 9 CM or SNOMED CT. More than 80% of all unique patients seen by the EP have at least one entry or an indication that no problems are known for the patient recorded as structured data eclinicalworks provides a patient active problem list (based on ICD-9-CM) that is available at every patient encounter on the Right Panel and can be updated on the fly Core Measure 9

Maintain the patient s active medication list More than 80% of all unique patients seen by the EP have at least one entry (or an indication that the patient is not currently prescribed any medication) recorded as structured data eclinicalworks maintains an active patient medication list and allows a provider to manage all patient medications for optimum continuity of care. The Right Panel provides a functional display of the patient s current medication list for every encounter. Core Measure 10

Maintain the patient s active medication allergy list More than 80% of all unique patients seen by the EP have at least one entry (or an indication that the patient has no known medication allergies) recorded as structured data A patient allergy list is recorded and managed in various areas of eclinicalworks. The Right Chart Panel displays the current allergy list to the provider at every encounter. Core Measure 11

Record and chart changes in vital signs: Height Weight Blood pressure Calculate and display: BMI Plot and display growth charts for children 2 20 years, including BMI. For more than 50% of all unique patients age 2 and over seen by the EP, the height, weight and blood pressure are recorded as structured data On each patient's Progress Note or Telephone Encounter, eclinicalworks provides the ability to record vital signs. All meaningful use vitals, vital graphs and growth charts are standard within the application. Each element (vital sign) is captured in a structured manner and the BMI is calculated automatically based upon the patient's height and weight. Core Measure 12

Record smoking status for patients 13 years old or older. More than 50% of all unique patients 13 years old or older seen by the EP have smoking status recorded as structured data The smoking status can be defined as structured data in eclinicalworks in a variety of areas to suit your practice work flow. This information can be captured while documenting within the Progress Note, or through a Smart Form. Core Measure 13

Capability to exchange key clinical information among providers of care and patientauthorized entities electronically Performed at least one test to electronically exchange key clinical information eclinicalworks EMR provides the ability to export a CCD file and encrypt it for secure transmission. The EMR also provides the option to import a CCD or CCR file with an easily readable view. Core Measure 14
