3 Supported by members summer 2008: PraxisUnico, AUTM and ASTP carried out research amongst our members - Wide-ranging support for development of professional recognition mechanisms - Greatest support amongst the younger/newer members of Tech Transfer - Strong view that development of the profession is happening and that we must take a leadership role. - Strong view that development of the profession must be led by practitioners

6 History 2008, MoU by ASTP, ATMT, AUTM, KCA, PrU working group with first call on 16 th December May 2010 launch of ATTP with 5 founding associations: board of directors, executive cie & on line administration Number of current applications: 80! with 45 people being approved ( RTTP )

8 Training and Qualifications Career technology transfer members will be provided with valuable training and submit a final case study to be considered Experienced industry professionals will produce a comprehensive case study demonstrating their experience and qualifications

11 Application process Online Available to all members of the founding associations Applications considered by an international panel of practitioners. $250 administration charge No annual fees, but there will be an administration charge associated with confirmation of registration every 3 to 5 years

12 Latest developments, March 2011 * CLP will consider ATTP approved CE-points for their CLP recertification, on topics of - licensing, - technology transfer and - technology commercialization * new TT associations will be invited to become a member of ATTP, incl a recognition scheme to approve their training
