1 PROJECT MANAGER, Data & Research Core for West Philadelphia Promise Neighborhoods Grant: Promise of Strong Partnership for Education Reform (ProSPER) We are seeking a full-time Project Manager, to oversee the management and coordination of a large, multi-sectoral, data systems project as part of the larger US Department of Education-funded Promise Neighborhoods grant in West Philadelphia, entitled Promise of Strong Partnership for Education Reform (ProSPER). The West Philadelphia Promise Neighborhood grant will support cradle-to-career opportunities for children living or going to school in the West Philadelphia Promise Zone. The project seeks to improve education, health and economic successes for children, their families and communities. The aims of the Data & Research Core are to: 1) understand existing data systems, 2) integrate student and other data from multiple sources, 3) collect primary and secondary school- and neighborhood-level data to monitor ProSPER impact, and 4) develop both disaggregated reporting processes to inform case management and program implementation and aggregated reporting to disseminate t! o broad school, community, and City stakeholders. The project is based at the Urban Health Collaborative at the Dornsife School of Public Health and directed by Data & Research Core co-directors Amy Carroll-Scott (f.lescherban@drexel.edu<mailto:f.lescherban@drexel.edu>). The Project Manager, ProSPER Data & Research Core, will work closely with the Core co-directors to oversee the coordination of all administrative, scientific, and school and community outreach aspects of the project. Priority will be given to applications received by Friday, March 24, Responsibilities include: Coordinate and staff Internal Data Team, External Data Team, and Data Advisory Council meetings Manage interactions with Promise Neighborhoods Management Team, Community Advisory Council, Promise Neighborhoods Principals, and other parent, school, and community partners. Coordinate and staff meetings of various Promise Neighborhoods teams. Track core progress in meeting project aims and deliverables and engage in frequent communication with other teams. Oversee the planning and implementation of various meetings and events to engage the community and disseminate data and results. Work with the Urban Health Collaborative Business Manager to oversee administrative activities and track spending. Collect and organize materials for future funding applications, progress reports, and other grant related activities and communications. Supervise neighborhood survey field work; coordinate teams of neighborhood residents, parent ambassadors, and graduate students. Supervise outreach, communications, and training/technical assistance activities and disseminate study activities and findings through same channels.

2 Assist the Data & Research Core co-directors in drafting and submitting regular project reports to the funder. Oversee hiring of other staff and students supported by the project in collaboration with the Urban Health Collaborative Business Manager Represent the Data & Research Core co-directors as needed to University and external audiences including meetings and conferences. Assist with the development of manuscripts for peer-review publication. Assist with the development and management of IRB applications. Additional assigned duties as needed Qualifications: Master s degree in public health or related field required. 3 years of experience managing complex research projects, experience overseeing complex budgets Prior experience with multi-site or multi-team research and with pertinent research methods desirable Very detail oriented, extremely organized, and comfortable with multitasking Possess excellent oral, written, analytical, organizational, and interpersonal skills Strong leadership and project management skills Prior supervisory experience required Team oriented and experienced working with diverse groups Highly organized, can work independently and has demonstrated complex problem solving ability, Proficient in MS Office Suite Familiarity with West Philadelphia highly desirable Number 8133, Department Number 6915 SPH Urban Health Institute.

This will primarily include development of an integrated, longitudinal data system incorporating data from multiple sources and partners. Priority will be given to applications received by Friday, March 24, Responsibilities Work with both internal and external project leaders and data integration coordinator to create and implement integrated, longitudinal database for the Promise Neighborhood project. Create and implement data management tools and documentation for data management processes including data entry, data processing and integration, data storage and security, data access, and reporting. Work with Data Core project manager, data integration coordinator, data providers, and stakeholders to create and implement processes and documentation for data transfer into and out of the system. Create and implement data quality processes and procedures to ensure quality of data entry and processing. Work with Data Core project manager and data integration coordinator to regularly report aggregated data to stakeholders. Supervise staff and students dedicated to data entry and processing. Attend regular internal and external team meetings and provide data system updates.

4 Qualifications Bachelor s or master s degree Experience in data management (in a health- or education-related field preferred) Ability to work in a team environment and with diverse partner organizations and stakeholders Excellent oral and written communication skills Experience with HIPAA and FERPA requirements preferred Prior supervisory experience preferred Experience with data analysis preferred Experience administering and managing data in an enterprise software system such as Salesforce, ETO, or PeopleSoft. 5 POSTDOCTORAL FELLOW, Drexel Urban Health Collaborative The Urban Health Collaborative at the Dornsife School of Public Health is seeking a postdoctoral fellow interested in the social determinants of health, places and health, and urban health more broadly, including cross-city and cross national comparisons of urban health. The fellow will work primarily on a large, multi-sectoral, data systems project as part of the US Department of Education-funded Promise Neighborhoods grant in West Philadelphia, entitled Promise of Strong Partnership for Education Reform (ProSPER). The goal of ProSPER is to improve the educational and developmental outcomes of children in West Philadelphia by targeting lifelong literacy, behavioral health, and trauma-informed family and community supports through the Compassionate Schools model. The project is based at the Urban Health Collaborative at the Dornsife School of Public Health and directed by Data & Research Core co-directors Amy Carroll-Scott (f.lescherban@drexel.edu<mailto:f.lescherban@drexel.edu>). The fellow will also have the opportunity to collaborate with faculty at the Dornsife School engaged in a range of multisite and collaborative projects related to the overall theme of urban heal! th and health inequalities, both in Philadelphia and across the United States. Although the fellowship will focus on analyses and manuscripts for peer-reviewed publications, there will be opportunities to also produce brief reports for broader dissemination to multiple community and policymaker audiences. Qualifications Required qualifications include a PhD or equivalent training in epidemiology, sociology, demography, biostatistics, or other related public health or social science fields and strong quantitative and writing skills. Experience conducting multilevel, longitudinal, and spatial analyses; integrating data from multiple sources; and/or survey design and analysis is desirable. We are also seeking candidates with experience or interest in children s health. Essential Functions Essential functions include collaboratively designing and implementing community-based surveys, conducting data analyses and writing papers as lead or co-author, presenting results at scientific meetings developing new research ideas and actively participating in collaborative research seminar meetings.
